Social Profile:

TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Excellent customer service, easy-to-read menus, and freshly prepared food with excellent, on-point flavor. From start to finish, as you enter a busy dining room, you’ll find a very vibrant atmosphere. Easy walk-up and self-kiosk ordering are available. Employees greeted us and were ready to take our order as soon as we walked to the counter. Challenge yourself and see what level of premium chicken sliders you can handle. I went for the extra hot. Several different options are available. I highly recommend you eat here.

Update: per the request I submitted feedback to the link that the owner shared in the response. I’m pretty sure it’s an Ai bot response and nothing was done in the efforts of guest recovery. Not sure what I expected but not taking the guest service or cleanliness serious is reason enough to not return. Response screenshot attached.

My family visited just before the holiday. There was no line inside, a couple of folks waiting on orders, and a few families already eating. There was no greeting when we walked in or when the young man walked up to take our order. As I watched from the front counter, there were three employees behind the counter, the one that took our order, another actively busy in the kitchen, and a third sitting on a crate/box and playing on his phone.

As we selected a table there were several dirty, the trash was not only full but overflowing, there was fluid smeared down the front door. Other observations: no medium drink lids were out, no napkins, and no regular drink straws. In the restroom there was also no paper towels. When I asked for a lid and napkins, the young man immediately brought out lids and then handed myself and other customers paper towels ripped from the hand washing sink behind the counter. I’ll give him credit for at least thinking to offer something.

Our food was prepared in 10-15 minutes and met the standard of other Dave’s Hot Chicken locations we have experienced. This being my hometown location and fairly new I expected a far better experience for my family. I really hope they commit to a cleaner store and friendlier atmosphere for future guests.

I had a great experience with Ms. Rhonda at Dave’s Hot Chicken – Chattanooga. From the moment I walked in, Ms. Rhonda was incredibly welcoming and professional.

She took the time to walk me through the menu and helped me choose the right heat level by clearly explaining how spicy each option was and what to expect flavor-wise. Her descriptions were spot-on the chicken was not only perfectly seasoned but genuinely delicious. You could tell she knew the menu well and cared about making sure customers enjoyed their food.

She was also very informative about their rewards and point system, making sure I understood how to earn and redeem points. That kind of attention to detail really makes a difference.

Also, I have to mention the portion sizes they were excellent and definitely worth it. The chicken was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The seasoning had so much flavor, and if you order it hot, just be prepared it is really hot! Ms. Rhonda did a great job explaining the heat levels because she was absolutely right about the spice. Everything tasted amazing, and the overall quality and portion size made it an even better experience. She recommended the sliders, which is what I got. The fries were seasoned to perfection too!

Overall, Ms. Rhonda was kind, patient, and professional. She made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable, and she’s definitely one of the reasons I’ll be coming back. The food was spot on! I have been waiting to come to this restaurant since I learned about it! 10 out of 10!

. no sense of urgency. Slower than snails. They have enough time to talk to friends and laugh, but not get our food out on time.. management needs to fix this. Have accountability for the lousy workers that are here. 45 min to an hour for 2 tenders and fries is ridiculous. I can go to Olive Garden, be seated, have a salad and my entree faster than here. Also, I’m parked next to the handicap spot. One of your workers parked in that spot and walked in. No structure.

Just found out, it’s been sitting on the rack for 30 minutes and he said it wasn’t up there, so now it’s Cold.. also as you see in the photo, we ordered 3 mozzarella Pattie’s, one had zero cheese in it. a refund would be nice

Did an app. Order. Was told I had to wait. It would be 10 mins and there were other orders in front of me. Cool! I don’t mind waiting for fresh food. I got my food and I knew on the way home I didn’t smell anything. Usually when food is fresh you smell it. The chicken was aged. The bread was cold. The fries were barely warm. I won’t go back.

Dave’s Hot Chicken is the place to be! It was poppin! We stopped in a couple days after the grand opening and met Asia at the door :). She was so warm and welcoming and we immediately started talking like we had been long time friends! We did wait in a line that went out the door, which at first we thought we shouldn’t stay, but service is so quick and efficient that we flew through the line. No complaints on our end! We are excited about our next visit and looking forward to seeing Asia again!

I hadn’t realized I came in shortly after opening, but everything seemed to be going wrong at this location. We weren’t greeted upon entering, and the customer service overall was just okay. The ice maker in the fountain machine was broken, and the water lever continued dispensing for a couple of minutes after I stopped pressing it. There was also no heat inside, even though it was about 30 degrees outside.

On top of that, the food took nearly half an hour to come out, only for the chicken to lack spice and the “toast” to be nothing more than a soft piece of bread. Save yourself the drive and go to Zaxby’s down the street. This meal and dine-in experience was simply not worth the wait.

My wife and I visited for the first time today. It’ll likely be the only time.
First off, a place that asks for a tip when am they’ve done is take your order just drives me crazy. You done the bare minimum. How do I know how much to tip for that?
Secondly, the same place that asks for a tip upfront is the same place it takes 20 minutes to deliver a Combo 1 & 3. Nothing special. The place wasn’t busy. Two families were ahead of us and it seemed like there were 2 food delivery orders on the board. That’s not 20 minutes worth of waiting for food.
Thirdly, the food itself… I like Nashville Hot Chicken. I’m used to the heavy handed dry spices. This stuff was almost gritty out was so covered in spice. Unfortunately, the payoff just wasn’t there. I ordered the medium hot. I’m no heat eater but this seemed closer to mild than it was medium. The meat of the chicken was fairly good if you could make it past the dry rub grit.
Next up, speaking of dry, if you want extra sauce containers they are $1.50 a piece. I get you have to charge something but that seems a bit much.
It did come with a small cup of sauce that tasted pretty good. Not sure how much more of those would cost, if anything.
And then comes the cost of our meal. With the upfront tip, our dinner was $40. Too many places I can eat better food, with better service, for the same price. If not cheaper.
Do not recommend. Better options are out there. Won’t be back.
On the good side, the restaurant looked fairly clean. We did have to wipe crumbs off the table but the bathrooms were clean, the garbage cans emptied, and the floor looked good. Props for that.

Today I ordered the Flight of Saucy Bites with fries. $18. One Eight. The photo is the exact portion size I received. Y’all tell me. I feel like I’ve been robbed and won’t be returning or recommending my friends here.

The customer service has been consistently bad since opening. If you don’t order on the app you will be waiting a while no matter how busy they are or aren’t. When I went in today to pick up my scraps, I had to wait until the two employees up front were done with their conversation before the cashier acknowledged me. Thanks dude.
