Social Profile:

TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The new mac and cheese is delicious. Super creamy, cheesy, and actually flavorful — not bland like a lot of fast-food mac can be. It pairs perfectly with the spice. And the chicken tenders are very good. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The heat level hits just right without overpowering everything.Honestly, Dave’s did their thing with this combo. Definitely ordering it again.

Recently moved to the Orlando area and just decided this city is not fit for our lifestyle so we are moving back home tomorrow.

HOWEVER, we must give Dave’s Hot Chicken a huge shout out. It’s has been a great experience visiting numerous of your locations here! We literally love ❤️us some Dave’s Hot Chicken and so does everyone else we’ve introduced to the spot. You have never disappointed us and this is one of our most enjoyable experiences of Central Florida.

The food is delicious, simple and consistent. We are just sad that there is no location in Destin, FL or Panama City Beach. They would do phenomenal things there!!! Hope to see them

Delicious chicken strips – They are large, and seasoned very well. I ordered the “hot” flavor and there were definitely spicy, but not soo spicy that I could not enjoy the meal. Will come back when in town for sure.

There’s a new chicken in town DAVE’S HOT CHICKEN!!!!!!!!!! Ok- I LOVE Chick-fil-a but this is different! So both worlds can live. This new fast food chain opened near me so we “gave it a try”. I’ll admit first time I went/ it took nearly 30 minutes to get our “fast food” but I showed them grace as they were newly opened. And then BAM! When my food arrived- the chicken strips and slider were huge! Their “heat” rubs made the chicken crispy and NOT sloppy wet- seasoned fries and their special sauce. I was and am obsessed!!!!!!! Now- they have all levels of “heat” from no spice to light mild, mild, medium, hit, extra hot and REAPER (that comes with a disclaimer!) I love buffalo chicken but not super hot so even light mild has some kick- so beware! But let me tell you/ it’s some of THE best chicken I’ve had!!! Give it a try – you will be back again!!!!!! Thanks Dave!!!

Service was so horrible I started this review while still in the restaurant waiting on my food. Walked in and there was a group of people on the kiosk no other customers in the store. Two employees standing at the counter but no one greeted or asked to take orders. They just stared at everyone. So we waited for the kiosk. the kiosk didn’t print receipts. As first timers we were not aware of the monitor that shows when food is ready so we went to ask and to also switch our meal to a “to-go “ order because it had been 30 mins already. The employee then said all meals were “to-go” after 4pm though the kiosk ask if it’s “dine in” or “to-go”. After about 40 mins the place was swarmed with about 50 people none of which had food yet, Very discouraging. Also, watching this many people in an establishment and choosing not to take orders at the register is crazy. We finally received our food an hour later at 6:30 we arrived around 5:20. After receiving our order half of it was wrong and the other half was someone else’s food, it had their name on it. I returned it and receive the other half of my order… I will probably never return here. Picture of the swarmed establishment attached.

The food:
2nd half of my food was hot and fresh first half the fries were cold and soggy. My mild chicken meal was not mild. No seasoning no sauce, no spice. However my partner ordered hot and actually received hot chicken with sauce. Her Fries had cheese on them and we did not order cheese fries. Lastly our frozen strawberry lemonades were extremely sour.

This was our first time to Dave’s Hot Chicken and we wanted to compare it to our experience with Nashville-style hot chicken. Dave’s uses a dry rub with varying levels of heat, while Nashville hot chicken is a dish with a cayenne pepper-based sauce that gives it a signature red color and heat. The main differences seen the two are Dave’s uses a dry spice rub on their chicken tenders and sliders, and traditional Nashville hot chicken uses a sauce. Dave’s dry rub has seven spice levels to choose from including the “Reaper”
We ordered the two tenders hot, and the 10 bites in medium. This way we could add hot sauce as needed. The fries had a coating on them and a slice of some sort. The tenders came in pieces of bread and I found myself using a napkin to brush off the ex was dry rub. The chicken itself was so tender and perfectly cooked I think I’ll go back and buy it without any rub. Eating the chicken with the pickles completes the flavor burst and with the sauce brings the whole experience together so try it completely. I personally find the Nashville hot chicken more preferable than the dry rub hot chicken but the chicken was great and the staff were very friendly and explained everything to us!

This was my first time going there and I was skeptical at first but I decided to give it a try. It was a Sunday afternoon when got ther it was pretty packed that day I went to order my food at the counter. I ordered a lite mild chicken slider and tender with fries and a drink. It was worth the wait it was a lot of people that day it took about 20 minutes for my food it was hot and fresh so it was worth the wait. I took a first bite of the chicken tender and it was so good with the Dave’s sauce. The fries and pickles were also great as well dipped it with Dave’s sauce and ketchup too. Daphne at the counter who took my order was very polite and pleasant by informing customers that there was a 30-minute wait and no one complained. I will definitely go back there.

Out of town from Tennessee and been hoping to try this restaurant. I follow the instagram so the food looked really good. Definitely not what I expected, the fries weren’t crispy, they were soggy and cold. The chicken tasted very unseasoned and bland, the mild chicken had a very weird seasoned taste to it but it tasted like NOTHING. I ordered mac and cheese but got a note in the box saying they were out. I spent $40 and tried to like it but I just couldn’t.

It’s a lovely place for children and the food is delicious for them. However, there is a downside to the waiting time. We waited for almost forty minutes for a small order, even though the place wasn’t crowded. I request that the management of this place address this issue. Thank you very much.

Wasn’t too sure to start with but thought give it a go and I’m glad I did, the chicken was flavorful and juice and the chips/fries were perfect, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with such a great flavor. Definitely recommend and be going back.
