TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

My daughter wanted to try this place so I stopped by on a Friday after school around 5pm. The line was wrapped around the corner , it literally took us an hour to get our food . We pulled up at 5:02 and got to the drive the window at 6pm. I wanted really try it since I heard it was really good. The fries were really tasty and the chicken was too. I definitely won’t wait again for it but the chicken is seasoned, our food was cold when we got it .

Wow I was totally blown away by this chicken slider. My husband dined in, and ordered this to go for me to bring home. I was excited to try this place but I wasn’t expecting this slider to be as amazing as it was. All the flavors tied together from the sweeter bread, the dry rub, the sauce, and pickles, it was so so good. I already want to come back tomorrow lol. I’m glad it wasn’t drenched/sauced chicken so that the slider doesn’t get soggy or messy. The flavor was fantastic

Update: I decided to give them a second chance and it was the same nonsense again. My order took forever and the food quality was poor. My chicken tasted stale and I don’t even know what to make of this bun. It looks like they took a bite out of it. All good. Apparently, they like to play with people’s food. They will never get my business again!

Dave’s Hot Chicken just opened in Riverview off Big Bend Rd and let me tell you it’s everything we didn’t know we were missing! The chicken is next-level delicious, perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. You can taste the quality in every bite, and the spice levels are spot-on whether you’re in the mood for mild or want to go full Reaper.
What really made the experience even better was the service. The owner was on-site, checking in with customers and making sure everything was perfect. You can tell there’s real pride in what they’re serving, and it shows, from the fresh food to the friendly, welcoming vibe.
This place is going to be a go-to in Riverview. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and try it. You’ll be hooked after the first bite!

Our son turned the big “12” today and decided that he had to have Dave’s Hot Chicken. We were greeted as soon as we entered the building by Michaela. She was excited to serve us and upbeat. She asked if it was our first time and would be happy to explain the menu. She was very knowledgeable and based on our preferences, assisted with making the right choice. Everyone’s food was hot and looked like the picture. Michaela is a gem to this location and made our sons birthday oh so special and memorable.

Delicious! We arrived at night and they were very busy and you could tell they have been slammed since opening but the employees are amazing! They were so welcoming and super nice explaining the menu and the flavors and the level to the spice. They were super friendly bringing the food and it was super fresh and delicious! They were busy but honestly they held that place together and seemed very organized unlike many places that recently open and it’s chaos. This Dave’s has it figured out!

Service was great, line moved quickly which was amazing for being the 1st day open. The seasoning on the chicken reminds me of taco seasoning, kinda weird , fries were good tho. We wanted to love it but it was a miss for us.

The employees here are just the greatest. They are always so friendly and kind. The chicken is delicious too! We get the sliders or the top loaded fries and it’s all delicious.
