TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The 2 chicken tenders are huge, was only able to eat 1 and my cheese fries. Poured some honey on my tenders and yum yum yum. Liked the outdoor seating especially cause it’s such a beautiful day out today. Will definitely come back again when in the area.

I’ve been to this location about a year ago and it was fine but this time the experience was very different. I just got a single tender and the chicken was very dry, breading did not stick to the chicken, the box I got it in was filled with an oily mix so the bottom of breading was soggy. The spice level was also off, I felt no spice on medium. Overall a poor experience

This restaurant has a welcoming feel as you approach and enter the building. Once inside it is very rustic and minimalist.
The menu is pretty straightforward if you have been here previously. For those first timers, slider = sandwich, mini slider = slider. As for spice/hotness, I ordered medium as a first “try”. Medium has a little kick to it, not much as you would expect from “medium”.
I ordered the 2 Slider meal (the #2 because it was the 22nd of April) and a medium drink. It came to almost $19! To be fair, that’s 2 sandwiches, I got caught up with the slider definition thinking I needed 2. One is enough, it’s not slider size.
The spice was OK, it’s a little overpowering in that you don’t taste the chicken. The chicken was a good size and thick. It’s really a “tender” shape and was cooked well and was tender and moist.
Sheriff Dave wrote no tickets here. The fries were plentiful (not 5 Guys plentiful, but then who is?) and cooked well. They are seasoned crinkle cut fries so again you pretty much just taste the seasoning.
This is not a place to order food on the go and eat in your car. I went through 6 napkins. I guess if you want spice all over your steering wheel and gear shift, then by all means, order to go and eat in the car.
The lobby area was clean, the tables cleared, chairs cleaned and no trash on the floor. However, the floor was very sticky. A little echoy/echoie (is that a word) in the lobby but not horrible.
The front counter help was nice and helpful.

Solid solid solid chicken spot offering cereal milkshakes, hi-c slushies, chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, and a pretty cool art worked canvas around their restaurant.
I have to say, the chicken was incredibly fresh, and the staff was kind.

Food is so good, got to-go food on our way out of town. Went in right when they opened (which I don’t like doing), but they were really nice and did not wait long at all for the food. Will definitely go again if in the area or see one somewhere else!!
We both had the chicken sandwich with medium sauce which had a little kick to it but not too hot. Sauce is delicious!!
Place has a cute vibe inside, service was great! Prices are about the same as typical fast food prices but quality of food was great.

Excellent service. Sandy is an awesome manager who took initiative when i told her i ordered my uber eats order for the wrong store. After i thanked her for correcting the issue she introduced herself, and put her hand out to shake my hand. It really spoke volume to me. The food was exquisite too. But the service was amazing. Whoever promoted her to manager made the correct decision

First time here and definitely not my last. The restaurant was clean when I walked in and the cashier was very friendly and welcoming. I learned that the hottest level is the Reaper which actually requires signing a waiver. I decided to go one level below and even though I handle heat pretty well it was just right and full of flavor.
I was also very happy to see that the establishment uses filtered water for their soda fountain which to me makes a noticeable difference.
Great experience overall solid food and friendly service. I will absolutely be coming back.

This place has a great atmosphere and delicious food. The chicken tenders are always fresh and crispy, and the crinkle fries are seasoned to perfection. The staff is friendly and helpful, and Chris was particularly friendly today. They also offer a variety of spice levels, so you can choose a milder option if you’re not a fan of heat.
