TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

This is the Dave’s Hot Chicken location I had the nerve to try the reaper chicken sandwich! Didn’t know that you had to sign a waiver before eating the sandwich, but by then I was already committed ♂️. For the first few bites that I was able to actually taste, the chicken sandwich was very seasoned and extremely spicy ️. The heat level to the reaper sandwich is 10 times hotter than the extra hot chicken sandwich (my opinion), which is only one level below the reaper. Although I was able to get through the entire thing, I would absolutely never try the reaper sandwich again . The reaper sandwich is definitely not for the faint of heart. You have to really have a high tolerance to be able to handle the heat that comes off of this sandwich. Even with coleslaw and a milkshake, this sandwich burned for about 35 minutes after the last bite. The tenders are really delicious. They always give you a slice of white bread in which I always make a second sandwich out of. The reaper sandwich is definitely built different. Definitely give this place a try for one of the best chicken sandwiches. And if you like a challenge and/or extreme heat, shoot your shot at the reaper chicken sandwich. If you’re craving bold flavor and juicy chicken, Dave’s Hot Chicken in Owings Mills is it! The food came out fresh, hot, and full of that signature spice that keeps you coming back for more. The sliders were perfect—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the pickles and slaw added the right crunch and coolness. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and don’t sleep on the fries…they’re seasoned just right!
The staff was friendly and helpful, even making sure we understood the heat levels (I went with Medium and it was the perfect kick ). The place was clean, and the service was quick—even during the lunch rush. Definitely a spot I’ll be returning to. If you love hot chicken done right, this is the place for you!

Dave’s Hot Chicken in Owings Mills seriously lives up to the hype. The sliders were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the spice level was actually consistent with what I ordered (hot but still enjoyable). The fries were perfectly seasoned, and the staff was friendly and kept the line moving even though it was busy. The place was clean, the vibes were good, and I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m craving Nashville-style heat.

This Dave’s Hot Chicken location is great. Today I was greeted by three employees when I walked in, two were at the counter and one was looking through a kitchen window. The two employees at the front counter discussed some new options that were on the menu. I ordered the number for the single slider and fries with medium sauce. I’m very satisfied with my meal. I got it to go and I’m eating it right now. It is delicious cooked perfectly. The french fries have great texture too. NICE WORK!

The food at Dave’s Hot Chicken was pretty decent, probably similar to some air fryer boneless wings so I wasn’t blown away by the food per se. What prompts me to write this review is how helpful Tony was when I ordered. He gave me some suggestions and was super patient, especially since I was hungry and indecisive. Decent place to try if you want some spicy chicken and the fries were pretty tasty too.

Customer service great food great comes out hot and wonderful. Brand new fun up beat spot. Crowded. Just really getting operations processes perfected. There were 3 managers I believe on the floor extremely nice helping out doing all the dirty work wiping tables. They were super helpful friendly refilling drinks getting condiments welcoming everyone thanking customers for stopping by. Really cute decor lots of wall art… To the food this is all chicken tenders not pieces. I claimed to be a person who likes hot food well this is HOT DO NOT GO BEYOND HOT UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED . They have an extra and Reaper I CANNOT imagine. You need plenty to drink. This is not something you can eat often really spicy and a little salty the Dave sauce is good. Festive fun milkshakes I was really impressed with the managements customer service that says alot.

Dave’s Hot Chicken never disappoints! The food is always fresh and delicious, but what really stood out was the amazing customer service. Tony was super friendly, welcoming, and made sure everything was perfect. The atmosphere was great, and even though they were busy, they kept things running smoothly. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both great food and top-notch service—definitely worth coming back again and again!

This place is great! The medium is not very spicy compared to Hangry Joes medium, which is much closer to the hot here at Daves. There is a big jump between medium and hot, but the pickles, honey, and slaw help cool things down. The medium has a nice flavor, the chili powder and cumin reminded me a bit of taco seasoning. Definitely recommend, will be back.

I ordered the slider combo and ate one slider myself and gave the other to my husband. I love that this was a more affordable option. I also ordered myself a side of coleslaw and let him have the fries. The chicken was absolutely deliciou. Service was fast, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was nice.
