TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Excellent. Very fresh, high quality chicken and other ingredients. The spicy is a dry rub rather than a hot sauce. Crispy and flavorful fries and Dave’s sauce. I like spicy, and the hot level had a decent amount of spice. My old fart dad on the other hand can’t handle spice, so we got him the lite mild level which provided the extra flavor without being spicy. We would definitely come back, great value for the price!!

The music was way too loud the night my son & I got take out. We waited more about 12 to 15 minutes for our order. The extra cup of pickles is one of our favorite items. The fried chicken was delicious, super moist with a crunchy flavorful breading. The french fries were good. My son enjoyed the mild hot sandwich, which he says wasn’t that hot so he’s planning on medium next time. Overall we were very happy with our order! The chicken was delicious!!!! The pieces of chicken were huge!

I went to Dave’s for the first time here in Scranton, order me the tender meal. The tenders with bread pickles and Dave sauce is a great combo in my opinion but my tenders were a little bit over cooked. Besides that it was delicious. On top of that my server was really cool! She asked me how my day was, who I was, and how is my life. She seemed so genuine too, not just an employee just following protocol but somebody who really cared, and had the biggest smile on their face. Her kind soul made my food even more good, she casually checked to see if I was enjoying myself, and by the time I was done she quickly came to assist me to clean up. Also when I exiting the door she even said goodbye to me with lots of kindness behind it. Her name is Stacy, and I will be going to Dave’s again for more talks with such a nice person and food.

I’ve been here twice and I have to say it’s a great place to eat. The service is excellent and everyone working there is friendly and helpful plus the chicken is really good. I got the medium spice level and it was perfect, not too spicy but had a nice kick! Definitely recommend getting extra Dave sauce too!

Great Hot Chicken spot! Tried it with my three teens. We all had the chicken slider combo with mild heat. Also ordered boneless bites with their “hot” intensity. Great vibe inside, staff was amazing and menu gave great description. My youngest Avery also tried their Mac and Cheese. They also had a big drink menu between shakes, slushies and fountain soda. Their favorite thing was the dipping sauce. Definitely worth a try!!

I have been to Dave’s hot chicken several times and each time was a treat. When you walk in you are greeted by their friendly staff. This time I tried their hot chicken bites and they are delicious. Not too spicy just right amount of heat. I also ordered fries and the Cole slaw side. My only complaint is I wish I got more of the slaw with the order. It felt it was a small portion for the price. But it was really fries and tasted great so I can’t complain too much. I will definitely be back for more. Excited to try their milkshakes next!

I know it’s new, the place is an absolute mad house currently, hopefully that settles in because I’d like to come back frequently. Dave’s never disappoints with the quality of their food. Small menu so don’t expect all the choices, except for the spice levels, they have something for everyone in that regard. Only complaint is the take out orders are being held longer than the dine in orders from what I seen. But best tenders around!!!

This place had some of the best chicken I’ve ever had, and I’m not even kidding. I like that’s it’s cooked well and the breading is amazing, I ordered the mild which was still a bit spicy so I would stick with that or maybe even do a medium. Staff were super friendly and I absolutely loved the “Dave’s Sauce”. A little on the pricey side but it was clearly good quality. Make sure you download the app and rack up some points as well.

First time visiting was today for me. Wife and kids have been there before. This place is amazing. It was clean, staff were all friendly, and the food was absolutely amazing. I got the number 3 medium.. it was incredible. Full of flavor, chicken was cooked perfect, and the fries were on point. I can’t wait to go back!!!!
