TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Short story: BEST employees, clean, good value, good seasoning, delicious sauce, again: really nice workers.
Long story: the workers were so kind and amazing here. They were so personable and definitely helped me out when I ordered the Reaper heat. It was definitely too hot for me. They let me try a sample before I ordered it. Good call. The dry rub was a nice touch instead of sloppy sauce and I gotta say, the Reaper was definitely the hottest chicken I’ve had at any hot chicken place across the country. The music was a little bit loud but otherwise we got food so fast and the workers chatted with us while we waited, which wasn’t long.
Pro Tip: order the #4 because the “sliders” are full sized sandwiches with sides. It’s plenty big enough.

First time here. I have to say, it was pretty good. I chose medium hot 2 slider meal, and I am afraid to see what the hot hot would be like! If you aren’t a fan of hot, start way at the low end! The sliders were great with the kale slaw and pickles as great toppers. I paired my meal with a strawberry cream slush that was amazing. Although it’s still fast food, this is a great change from the regulars.

ordered from the drive-through yesterday at Dave’s Hot Chicken and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
I ordered 2 sliders with fries. The chicken was over-fried to the point that it tasted burnt. You could clearly taste that the spices were burned, and it made the sliders almost inedible.
We also ordered a Small Top-Loaded Spicy Buffalo Mac. I specifically asked for a small, but was charged for a large. I decided not to argue about it, but the portion issue was frustrating. The chicken inside the mac was actually better than the sliders, but overall the dish still wasn’t great.
On top of that, we ordered a Small Fruity Pebbles Top-Loaded Shake, and it was very watery — almost completely melted by the time we got it.
Overall, it was a very poor experience and not what I expected. I hope they improve their quality control and accuracy with orde

The chicken is amazing and absolutely delicious. Steaming hot, fresh, and juicy. Getting the sandwich the way it comes is the only way to do it and always get extra sauce and pickles. The fries are awesome and the seasoning they use is a welcome change from everything else around.

It’s different chicken! The different spice levels are cool, and the planks of chicken are large. Dave’s sauce is amazing! Pretty much 8 tables and chairs for them, no real atmosphere, but it was clean and the restaurant is still pretty new.
