TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Overall a positive experience with friendly staff, but a few things kept it from being great.
The chicken sandwich was good – not the best I’ve ever had, but definitely not the worst either. Solid middle ground.
My main complaint: the fries were warm but not hot. This is a real pet peeve of mine, especially when you’re dining in and waiting for your food to be made to order. When food is cooked fresh, it should arrive hot.
The staff was friendly and attentive, which definitely helped the experience. I’d consider coming back, but hoping for hotter fries next time!

First timer. Chicken was nicely coated and flavorful. Well cooked. I liked the sandwich with the slaw! Definitely add the honey. We enjoyed it!

Literally first time going and it was so good. I did pick up through app which made it super easy. The brick location sucks with parking so I suggest ordering a head if possible. Service could have been better, they weren’t paying attention to who was at counter but talking to eachother. This will not be the last time going. New customer for sure overall.

Very clean lobby, people were very nice and respectful. And the food was phenomenal, it was fresh and hot. Fries were seasoned to perfection. The pickles were astonishingly fresh. Me and my family enjoyed our lunch

By far the best chicken sandwich I’ve had in this area (brick,NJ) the chicken breast seasoned so well and it’s a big piece of chicken and it’s so juicy and tender.i would never go to Chick-fil-A again after eating from here. And the fries were excellent as well cooked perfectly nicely seasoned and crispy. Very clean inside and the decor is very cool. I’m sure to go back

Amazing! Ordered pickup ASAP on the Dave Hot Chicken app (not Doordash). Food was ready on time within 10mins of order and servers were nice. Best of all the chicken pieces were huge, tasty and spiced as per order. It was not busy at 8pm weekday. Looked very clean with plenty of space to sit and park outside. 10/10 – highly recommend!!

The chicken here was excellent. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, my order was missing the fries, which was disappointing, but everything else was great. I’ll definitely come back and hope next time the order is complete!

Darnell and Tony were amazing. The food is good. This is not your usual chicken joint. They make you sign a waiver for the reaper seasoning, but it is not that bad. I have had the hot, very hot, and the reaper. The reaper actually has flavor not like other chains. I really enjoyed it here. If you enjoy spice and flavor then check this place out. I have had the tenders, sliders, and the loaded fries. Everything rocks. To top it all off Tony and Darnell were great !!! They even offered to give me something if the spice was too much to handle. My family will be back for sure!!!

Love the hot chicken. 5 different levels of heat, as in spice hot. The staff is on the ball. The atmosphere isn’t for me, but it probably is for younger people. The location in Brick is basically hidden. It’s in the Shoprite / Kohls Plaza, but on the end near Manhattan Bagel
