Food was good, portions were fair and all at great prices. Ordered an omelette and pancake combo everything was really good and the green chile sauce was full of flavor. Lots to look at and a very fun atmosphere, will visit again. Bring cash, they upcharge for card payments.

My son & I were looking for something a little different. We happened to see the OPEN sign at Dave’s Diner in lil’Las Vegas, New Mexico. The atmosphere is like walking back in time. They even have an old style jukebox filled with ‘OLDIES MUSIC’ that is playing as you walk in. The menu has a variety of food listed; the burger my son enjoyed was BIG, JUICY, COOKED TO TASTE & LOADED WITH THICK CRISPY BACON!!! My son couldn’t finish his food. The Christmas combination plate I enjoyed, was delicious. Now, let me tell you about the shredded beef taco I had in this platter, PERFECTLY FILLED WITH TENDER, JUICY & TASTEY BEEF!!! My son & I plan on returning for breakfast just because they have our favorites. I could go on & on, instead let your tastebuds be the judge. Shannel Montoya, Hostess/Waitress & Angel Sisneros, Chef, were very professional, friendly & courteous. I hope y’all consider stopping in and giving this little, new diner in Las Vegas, NM a chance. In addition to my review, I would like to mention that Dave’s Diner is adding a patio area to their establishment.

Green chile is medium, bacon & hash browns are nice and crispy! Delicious if you go for very traditional diner food. They also serve drinks. Mostly locals here. Jukebox & beer atmosphere with tributes to Marilyn Monroe. One of the customers came over and told jokes at our table on his way out!

I stopped in Las Vegas to put gas and found the cutest diner. From the atmosphere, to the great service all the way to the oldies music playing in the background! Took me back to being a child, drinking milkshakes on a Sunday afternoon worry free!! I have been craving a good patty melt for a long time and Dave’s diner fixed my craving! Definitely recommend and will be stopping anytime I travel through Las Vegas.

On our trip from Arizona to Colorado Springs, my husband and I stopped at Dave’s Diner, and I’m so glad we did. Donna gave us some of the best service we’ve ever had — she was kind, attentive, and made the whole visit feel comfortable and welcoming.
The food was just as amazing. Carlos did an incredible job in the kitchen; everything came out fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. You can really tell he takes pride in what he cooks.
We loved our first visit so much that on our drive back to Arizona, we made sure to stop again. Same friendly service, same delicious food — it honestly felt like visiting friends.
Highly recommend this place to anyone passing through!

This spot takes you back! It’s very unique and wholesome. Donna (waitress) and Carlos (cook) made us feel right at home with their excellent hospitality. The food was sooo good! We ate very good. Try the pancakes too! Service was on point even when they had more folks come in. Donna even made time to play my song request. We really enjoyed ourselves & it started off our day on a positive note. Check it out sometime!

Amazing place! I’m too young to remember a time when diners used to casually look like this, but this is what i imagine! Donna was an amazing hostess. She is super friendly, inviting, and all around awesome! Carlos whipped us up some really good food too! The bacon burger was cooked perfect. the bacon and buns were perfection. the produce on the burger looked so healthy and was delicious. the enchilada plate was equally just as amazing. 10/10 will be back!

Sweet Dave, where do I begin…
Almost a comically bad experience from start to finish. To begin with someone clearly hasn’t been paying the heating bill, please make sure to bring your own space heater. Drink orders were placed but only half arrived. Kept holding out hope (aka delusion) that the food would be the redeeming quality of this establishment. Wrong.
Ordered two burgers and a patty melt, instead received three hockey pucks masquerading as beef patties. The only rational explanation is that the line cook had a personal vendetta against the former cow in question. The “burgers” arrived without a single condiment including the added bacon to one (which we still charged for) or the cheese that has traditionally separated a cheeseburger from a burger. Just the worlds saddest mangled bun and some lonely gristle that had miraculously returned from the surface of the sun to grace our plates.
In summary, I would describe my experience at Dave’s as a fever dream filled with confusion and deep deep sadness. I can only hope that this transcendent experience will inspire me to artistic heights, much in the same way that Picasso was inspired to craft his masterpiece Guernica after seeing the horrors of war.
To whatever lost soul is considering stopping at this fine establishment, turn back now.
