i haven’t been to Dave’s for a quick lunch in a while but i will if i have to order out quickly and i did this passed Tuesday January 27th 2026, and holy wow… the guy who made my sub did a phenomenal job. it was by far the best sub i’ve ever had from there! i never had my sandwich warm and my GOD did it make a difference! will definitely be going back!

$8 for quite possibly the worst sandwich I’ve ever had. 2 slices of chicken breast, shredded cheddar cheese, hot sauce and a spit of Dave’s cosmic sauce. An absolute joke. Stale cookie. Terrible customer service. Don’t eat here. Better off at subway. Shout out subway!

There is one other customer in the store. My Uber Eats order was placed 20min prior and the employees are casually just starting on the order. They told me a few minutes and it has almost been 15. I arrived to pick up my catering order 15 minutes prior to my event and they didn’t have my order prepared, they had no way to make it, and offered no solution or way to even get an immediate refund. I was left scrambling to feed 40 people with 15 minutes notice. Awful customer service

I’ve only ever had good experiences when coming to Dave’s Cosmic Sub’s. This location (Lakewood) doesn’t sell French Fries but I’m not complaining. I came for a sandwich and that’s what I got! On too of that they have a few tasty Vegetarian options to choose from. This puts them ahead of Subway and other sub-sandwhich competition.
I always say that Dave’s is better than most other places because they choose to season their food. All the sandwiches I’ve ever had have been seasoned and have a unique Davey flavor!
Great place to come. They do large orders too, so if you are on a small film set and need to fill a decent sized order with tasty subs (Wayy better than Jimmy John’s) then please come here. Your crew will thank you kindly!!

My sandwich was very small, probably half the size of those pictured. My girlfriend wanted hers with no cheese and that didn’t happen. The pickle didn’t seem to be pickled. The biggest issue was with the older bald man in the kitchen yelling at the younger female employee while we were waiting. It was extremely awkward. Bad all around experience. Also my first time so not great. I have to put one star to post this review. I would give 0 if possible

I’ve tried to love it 3 times over 15 years and it’s good, but I wouldn’t go out of my way. All 3 visits were different locations. The staff at this specific location were very fun and friendly. To be fair to Dave’s, I had the same thing all 3 times. I know they have a huge following, so I’m going to assume that maybe other items are great. Thumbs up on the toasted bun, but that shouldn’t be the most notable component. The brownie was great.
