I recently stopped by this BBQ spot because I was really craving some barbecue. Overall, the food was just okay. I ordered the three-meat plate.
The mac and cheese had a great texture, but it didn’t have much flavor until I added some salt. The beans were sweet but very heavy on the black pepper. For the meats, the ribs were tender and enjoyable, the pork was also tender but lacked flavor, and the brisket was dry and a bit underwhelming.
On the positive side, the staff was friendly, quick, and efficient, and the place was clean. A polite and decent experience, but the food could use some improvement in flavor.

The spicy slaw was pretty good.

10 out of 10. Best brisket in this town, the meat falls apart. The pulled pork sandwich is also phenomenal. The meat is very tasty and the best thing is – it’s not SPICY! I suffer trying to find places where the meats aren’t spicy. They’re flavorful. The sides are great and the portions are just perfect! I’m definitely recommending it and also coming back!

The first two times I went my food was amazing, however the last time I want is was not. I ordered a brisket sandwich meal and the brisket was salty, they gave me all fatty ends and it was extremely oily. I was very disappointed, the place is too expensive for that .

We got the three meat platter (pulled pork, sausage, and brisket) with a pound of ribs. The meat was tender and full of smokey flavor. We also had the creamy coleslaw and potato salad as our sides. Both sides were fantastic as well.

They have a variety of sauces and they’re pretty decent period We ordered a plate of ribs with a side of a sausage and baked black beans and a side of onion rings. Also an iced tea. The whole mean set us back $34.
The ribs where not fall off the bone tender which was a bit disappointing. Tasted great with the sauce but as you can see from the pictures, took a bit of work to consume. A serving of onion rings was $8 which is pretty steep if you ask me. They did give it to me as a side I think. The onion rings are pretty good. So was the spicy sausage.
Service was fast and friendly.

Ask anyone in VB what’s the best place for BBQ. They first say Dave’s. This isn’t the place where you get too much sugar in the rub. Just right. Where the meat rules the taste buds. The brisket falls apart. The ribs were meaty! Typical sides. Beans , green beans, corn bread and of course the pudding! If you’ve found better it wasn’t in VB. Oh, and we started eating before we took pictures!
