Very pleasant clean bakery and deli! So many wonderful choices to choose from!!! For me it was their creamy ice cream. Cheese Danish, cheese cake, hamburger, ham sandwich. A wonderful family run business for 40 years!!! Definitely check their food out!!

First off for those looking for fresh not frozen paddies then you might as well skip now..I ordered a cheeseburger with a side of French fries. Not 5 star but taste like you would except from a regular cheeseburger..the fries were hot served with a side of ketchup…I’m wondering though how they cooked my burger…there is no smell of cooked/cooking food …having said all this if you don’t mind spending over 20 for 2 sandwiches and one side of fries(and don’t mind the uncertainty of how the meat is cooked then feel free to give it a try…

Amazing cinnamon rolls. The bakery items are amazing.
I have had 4 sandwiches there now. The ham and cheese croissant, ham and turkey club, chicken salad sandwich and the Ruben.
The food is prepared well, tastes good , afforadable but its missing that umami and uniqueness that small shops usually have. Lack of seasoning on the sandwiches. I think its prepared items that they warm up, with ecxeptions, eggs were cooked fresh. Its just average.

If there’s one certain thing about me, it’s sandwiches. This local breakfast and lunch counter in the heart of downtown Independence is just what any morning or midday trip needs. You walk in, and it’s a classic lunch counter with the glass pie display case, the old school menu board, and the bartop tables and chairs lining the dining room. I’m really happy I came in and grabbed the Turkey Club w/ a side of fries. It’s always time for a sandwich

Great affordable lunch. The sandwich bread was amazing. Cherry turnover was fresh and flaky. Definitely worth a stop and we will be back to try breakfast which is 7-10:30am.

About as perfect as a local bakery and deli can be. Wonderful good, quick service, and the atmosphere to match. If you’re ever stopping off in Independence be sure to visit this family owned shop.

Amazing cinnamon rolls. Super cute and retro atmosphere. Very kind service. I called beforehand and the proprietress packed up six beautiful rolls for us, all snuggled individually in little wax paper nests. Wonderful! Thank you!

I had the large omelette. It was excellent, with crispy toast and some hot sauce added. They attract a very pleasant breakfast crowd. Recommended!
