Visiting from out of town, but used to eat here when I lived in the area – called today at 1 pm to find out what time happy hour is and if the restaurant side also allowed happy hour drinks, specials. Lady who answered the phone said she didn’t know when happy hour was and when I questioned her further, she finally said from 4 – 7 pm. Then I asked if the restaurant side also held happy hour (I was going to meet a group there, some would stay and eat dinner, others would head out after drinks) and she said she didn’t know, she only worked the bar. I asked if she could ask someone, and offered to hold. She told me she was the Day Manager, the only one working today, and she didn’t know anything about the restaurant. I said to her ” You are the Day Manager, at lunch time you are the only person working today, and there is no one else to ask, and you don’t know even though you are the Day Manager”. She said yes – and I’m taking my business someplace else if that’s the way they run the business. I can just imagine what the service would be like if that’s the way they treat new potential customers who call ahead.

This place has tried hard to make a unique experience with an outdoor patio, an indoor restaurant, and a bar. All the pieces seem disconnected. The food is only so-so.

I’ve enjoyed lunch here a couple of times, but not sure I’d return. It’s quaint, and definitely out of the way.
