This is hands down the best breakfast, brunch whatever you want to call it experience I’ve ever had!!!. The steak and eggs are extremely delicious! Their Espresso Martini was so delicious and smooth. It’s literally my favorite place for breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays. It’s across from this place called Toasted, but that is just too crowded, and honestly, they can’t compare to the service you will get here at Davanti Enoteca! I will be back here every weekend!

Menu is below average in size. Had the Bolonese and added sausage. Sausage were not links and that was not explained. The Bolonese was not traditional at all. I make better at home. I would have rather gone to Olive Garden. The bright point was that the service was amazing as far as the waiter. We had a party of 8 adults and two children. None of the meals came out together. I blame that on the kitchen staff. The birthday girl got her meal 15 minutes after everyone else. And the others came out in 3 stages. Changes need to be made badly!
We got sat in the covered but outside portion and b it was way to cold. Even with the heaters on.

Personally this place was not my favorite. I cannot say I would recommend this place, but it was not bad.
Ordered bread, pasta, and pizza.
All of them weren’t super good for me to recommend to someone! It was just ok.
I ordered a pasta that was $30, but I had a bite and did not eat more and my bf ate it all. We also ordered a pizza, but it was a little bit salty to me to enjoy it. But my boyfriend said it was one of the best pizzas he had So if you are curious, won’t be bad to try.

Heading to the Belly Up Tavern for a show and Davanti Enoteca was on the way. It’s unlikely we’ll return.
Granted, we’re not far from the coast, so elevated prices are expected, but $19 for spaghetti noodles with oil, cheese and pepper?
Long story short… my wife and I both got pasta dishes. I added sausage, she added shrimp. She had a martini, I had a glass of very sour house red. (Tip… Spend the extra few bucks for something else. And yes, house reds are often very good).
The restaurant is ensconced in a mall, but they do a decent job of making you feel like it’s not. If the food were stellar, the price would be more palatable. But $90+ (with tip) for the above described meal? Not worth it, in my book.

I organized a very successful dinner party here for 48 people in early-January for the 350th monthly tasting of the Carmel Valley Wine Club. Owner Enzo and his wife Liz were great to work with to plan our menu and event details. Chef Marvin and Servers Jorge, Marilu & Edmundo did a spectacular job orchestrating our 4-course meal and pouring 5 wines. Participant comments included “flawless,” “memorable,” “wonderful.” Bottom line: Davante Enoteca Del Mar is a great place to hold a moderate-size group dinner at a reasonable price with great food and service.
We also frequently enjoy the restaurant’s excellent hospitality as a couple.

We had a lovely brunch at Davani Enoteco. We used to come here often when my son was at UCSD, and were pleased to find that it is still open. And it’s wonderful. Our favorite is the Focaccia with Italian cheese and honey. Delicious and just how we remember it. We all had an egg dish and they were all perfectly cooked. And we also shared a pizza. Hey, we were hungry after a long morning hike. Great service. Plenty of free parking. A wonderful stop not far from the highway.

Love their Happy Hour menu. Food is pretty good and it’s a great deal for HH. Have to sit in the bar area but there were plenty of tables, all high tops. We did make a reservations.
We like getting their special of $28 for a nice charcuterie board with a bottle of house wine. Also recommend the ricotta with honey, the liver pate, margherita pizza, and bruschettas off the HH menu.
The food off the regular menu is also very good. We really like the ragu with creamy polenta dish.

First time here. I walk pass Davanti frequently and observed this plate numerous times being served and decided to give a try…Polenta & Ragu dish. I ordered the small portion ($22). This is actually an appetizer option, however was plenty for one or two. The pork was tender, carrots were also tender as I like it, sauce was flavorful but not overwhelming with salt or seasoning. The polenta was excellent. The service was great, friendly and attentive.
