Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and was very impressed. It’s a neat little place with i nice vibe. The waitress was quiet but attentive and checked in frequently. The food was exceptional! The quality of the sushi was wonderful. They had really really great flavor but also not overally sauced which allowed the quality of the fish, caviar and other ingredients to shine. This is Definitely one of the best sushi places I’ve been to in terms of quality, it’s a bit expensive but great for a date of special occasion. Not all dishes were expensive but all the sushi we picked was. Overall a great new spot we will revisit.

This place is so damn good, this is hands-down, the best sushi spot north of downtown Austin. They actually have some unique flavors and rolls. The quality of the fish in the cuts is top-tier. They use real wasabi!

Wow! Just wow! From the service to the ambiance to the food…..everything was perfection! Highly recommend!! The sashimi dinner had AMAZING fish & the rolls were handcrafted right in front of us! We came for lunch, but this would be great for dinner or a Date Night! Can’t wait to come back!!

BEST sushi in the area HANDS DOWN!! It was so good we forgot to take a photo before packing leftovers so there are a lot not shown in images. But holy moly I want more already!!

The owner/chef was a chef in Japan and it shows. The fish is beyond fresh and flavorful! There are many cuts of different fish bellies and these were by far our favorites. For the quality and flavor the price is great, ~$20 per sushi rolls (8-10 given).

It is a small sitting area but elegant and peaceful. There is lots of bar sitting as well.

Wow all around we will be here at least once a month if not more

Dau Sushi is exactly what this area needed. Dau is incredibly talented—every dish is fresh, creative, and miles ahead of the competition. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, with modern décor that looks like it belongs in a big city, not our little corner of town.

And yes… I even have a roll named after me (and it’s amazing).

The food, the presentation, the atmosphere, and the service speak for themselves. If you want sushi that truly stands out, Dau Sushi is the place. Highly, highly recommend!

First trip with my wife and friends. Great service from Victoria. Friendly, funny and courteous. Fish was fresh and flavorful. We had multiple appetizers, Spicy Edemame, Gyoza, Fried Calamari. For drinks, we had Lucky Cat White Ale and Saki. King Salmon and Flounder Nigiri was delicious and rolls were large and prepared perfectly. Toro Lover, Shaggy Dog, Sushi Dinner was great. Spicy tuna roll really had a nice kick. Not a cheap meal, but great food and a nice atmosphere. Give them a try.

Tried Dau Sushi & it’s excellent.
Everything tastes fresh and you can tell there’s quality & care in every bite. The Hamachi carpaccio was perfectly balanced & the nigiri just melts. And the A5 wagyu..
There’s cool art everywhere you look & classic oldies really help set a cool atmosphere & vibe. Great service. Highly recommend.

Tonight was the grand opening and it was absolutely amazing! From the food to the decor…I felt like I was in downtown Austin. They are still working out a few kinks because they are brand new but the whole experience was so awesome! The chef came to the table at the end of our meal to say hello and he was so kind. Gluten free and veggie options are available too. Super excited we have a place like this right outside our own neighborhood in Summerlyn.

I can’t say enough about this place, I’m so happy Dau finally got his own restaurant. This is the best sushi in town and truly on Dec 14th I’d go as far as to say this is the best meal I’ve had all year. The place is clean, beautiful with the perfect ambiance. Dau Sushi is my new favorite place!!!

We had lunch earlier today and the decor/furniture was cute and tasteful. The restaurant space is small; great for intimate dining. Our gyoza came out quick for our appetizer. I love raw sushi so I ordered a hama toro. It was a little “fishy” tasting, so not as fresh as I’d like. The shaggy dog roll was good but the Liberty Hill one was even better! The wagyu beef could have been seared a little longer because it was still a little raw and chewy so some patrons may not like that. Otherwise, I’d definitely come back for a sushi fix since it’s very convenient! It looks like they’re still setting up the outdoor seating when we left so hopefully be ready when the weather is nice outside.
