Just here to say how much I miss this place. We were visiting Key West for the past week and this was our favorite place to eat a wholesome, healthy, delicious vegetarian meal. I’m already attempting to duplicating the wraps back home, which I had every time I stopped in, as well as a smoothie and a turmeric shot. Yes, I over ate, but worked it off by biking every day. Everyone was kind and friendly. They all seemed to enjoy their job. You guys are amazing, foods delicious as well as your coffee!! I’ll be back when we return next year!

I’ve started my day at Date & Thyme every single morning during this visit while staying with my daughter, who lives in Key West—and that says everything. I’ve been to Key West several times over the years, but somehow only discovered Date & Thyme on this trip. Had I known about it sooner, I would have been eating here every time I visited. It is hands down the best place I’ve found in Key West for whole-food, plant-based eating. I’ve tried many spots over the years, and nothing comes close to the freshness here or the sheer amount of vegetables and fruit in their offerings.

I had the spring roll twice (the second time with tempeh added, which was delicious, though I realized afterward the wrap is more than satisfying on its own). Today I tried the pesto wrap, which was also excellent. I’ve had both the strawberries & cream smoothie and the purple dragon smoothie—amazing. I also tried the detox juice and the living garden juice. I also had their magic mushroom latte and chose the house-made coconut milk each time because it’s that good. They also offer banana milk, which I’ve only ever made at home, but I can only imagine how delicious it is here.

As a wellness practitioner, this is exactly the kind of food I recommend—and wish all my clients ate regularly. It’s incredibly nourishing and genuinely delicious. I haven’t been disappointed by a single thing I ordered. Today is my last day here, and I made sure to stock up: a frozen hydration bowl for later today, a frozen açaí bowl (so I can thaw it tomorrow morning before heading home), a dragon salad bowl from the grab-and-go fridge, and their incredible slaw, which I’d already tried with the wraps. Honestly, it’s all so good I would come back to Key West just for this food—even if my daughter didn’t live here.

I also greatly appreciated the outdoor seating and the option to choose between sun and shade. Coming from Vermont, I happily sat in the sun every time, soaking up every bit I could after the sub-zero temperatures we’ve been having. Absolutely wonderful.

Everyone who works here was kind and friendly, and the wait time was minimal, despite the food clearly being made fresh. I highly recommend Date & Thyme whether you’re vegan or not (they do offer some non-vegan options as well). If you value high-quality food and don’t mind paying a bit more for it, this is absolutely your place. I see it as healthcare—prevention through nourishing food—and it’s worth every penny for the quality of life it supports.

I’m a sucker for these out of the way spots that still hold all of the charm(s) of the businesses that were there before. Key West is full of them. If you are familiar with KW, you know there is an Old Town and New Town. This place lies somewhere between, and carries a little something from each. I’m not going to sugar coat this next statement; it’s expensive. Do not come here if you are looking to load up on snacks for a day at the beach, bc you aren’t going to enjoy the price tag, but what you will enjoy is the variety of healthy options, organic, vegan, and paleo items. I’ve never seen a store with more to choose from for just about every food trend you can name. A juice and smoothie bar (of course!) a cooler full of fruits and veggies, energy and wellness drinks, plus shots of every kind. Sugar free, gluten free, grain free, you name it! I really liked this store, but you are going to pay for all of the goodness. They serve breakfast sandwiches and the avocado toast was amazing and there are shaded benches in a really quaint area right outside the store. Sometimes you can tell just by the name that the place will be worth finding; this is one of them!

Fresh smoothies. Great clean breakfast options. I wish there was more seating and more seats out of the sun. My group had 4 of us and the total was $99!! Steep prices here. We got smoothies, açaí bowl, breakfast wrap, and the bagel. The market inside is fun to look around

A great local spot! The employees were so nice and welcoming and the patio was a great spot to hangout. Great breakfast & lunch options but also a lot of grab & go in their market.

This is such a wonderful place that is a must see/support when you are in the area. For someone like me who has celiac disease it is peace of mind that I’m able to eat not only something that is safe for me, but also that is very healthy. The staff are warm and friendly and it is quite a charming store. Can’t wait to go back when I visit again.

I researched this place ahead of time before arriving on my trip to the keys and loved the fresh organic veg food. The shop had a lot of varieties of holistic organic items from food to vitamins to local artist (book authors). Mom and I wanted to try the bowls and they were both fantastic we shared them. I also got a bagel sandwich which was fantastic the bagel soft not chewy. Wish we had this place back home!! Thank you!!’
