The food is really good the Mac and cheese was my favorite probably because it was unexpected from a restaurant but it really is homemade (like Thanksgiving homemade)!
My only complaint is that the rice was a little hard and the customer service with the checkout personnel was inattentive I’m big on customer service interactions when I’m spending my money somewhere. (Could be I came 20 mins after opening) They were although kind in greeting and departure
Other than that the oxtails were very tender (fall off the boat melt in your mouth type) and meaty avoiding much fat that’s usually with this meal from other places , and I believe the portion were okay for the price. The gravy was well seasoned.
I had the agave vanilla soda with a splash of root bear, IT WAS SO GOOD! Never had it before.
Overall the atmosphere is good , has lots of seating in an open area with a TV, I watched a basketball game as I ate. Music was ofcourse Caribbean music which I enjoyed also.Food was also really hot and ready to serve no wait! Meal Price ~ 27$

I got the chance to visit dat jerk with my father recently. I gave him the option going to silver diner or dat jerk. It took a sec for us to get our bearings but we were overall pleased with the options we ordered. The restaurant was very clean and had large portions of food which I believe matched the cost of food. I loved the roti. The wrap itself complimented the flavors inside. I opted to get the sauce on the side which was not the play since it wasn’t enough. Definitely won’t make that mistake again. They had a friendly staff that helped to guide us through the menu. I definitely look forward to going back.

Hi! We ordered the following catering items: brown stew chicken, salmon, rice and peas, house salad, mac and cheese, and stir-fry veggies for our holiday party. Everyone was raving about the stew chicken, salmon, Mac and cheese and rice and peas! Staff kept asking where the food was from and said everything tasted amazing. Our order arrived on time and the food was at a great temperature. Everything was delivered with care!

The customer service was great! I was greeted promptly when I walked in and upon checking out, the cashier asked me if I wanted any coco bread or patties to which I had to exercise discipline and say “no” . That said, I was a bit disappointed with the rice and peas and cabbage I bought. They both were a bit too overcooked for my liking. I like for my cabbage to still have a bite as well as my rice and peas. The sauce I got to accompany my jerk chicken was interesting, don’t think I would’ve chosen it had I known what it tasted like.
FWIW, I originally wanted to get the salmon but then changed my mind. Kinda wish I didn’t!
The plantains are though!
Overall, I don’t have any real complaints just that the 2 sides weren’t prepared how I tend to like them. Hence the 3 stars.

Just left Dat Jerk, only to find out when I got home that the young guy that took my order forgot to put rice and peas in my Roti. I dont know if the guy was new, he acted like he didnt want to be there. He also forgot to put my extra sauce in the bag. I clearly told the guy more order, and paid my hard earned money for my food, but felt cheated when I got home and realized I didnt get what I paid for. Both the guy and girl attitudes that worked there were not welcoming. Customer service with Black Businesses always seems to be subpar and need work. If the owner is reading this, please teach the importance of good customer service to your workers. I will continue to go to Dat Jerk, just not this location. Ill only go to the one in Columbia from here on out. Please do better

Today I was running errands while on my lunch break and I didn’t have enough time for a meal so I stopped by Dat Jerk and purchased 2 patties. One beef and the other was chicken. Once I returned back work and eat the patties I noticed that they were spoiled after I took a bite. I was immediately sick to my stomach
and started vomiting. One of my team members asked if I was okay and ran to get me a sprite from the vending machine to help soothe my stomach. I called the store and spoke with the guy that processed my order. I told him that the patties were spoiled and his immediate response was “Which One?” I replied, None of your food should be spoiled! He than replied, yea your right and offered a refund. I replied that I will not be returning! No one should be selling bad food, old food, or spoiled food to their clients. I will NEVER RETURN and I DON”T RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION!!

When I went into the restaurant it smelled amazing. There was a short line that quickly grew once in line. I ordered the Oxtails , cabbage, plantains, Mac and cheese and curry chicken patty. My companion order the Salmon, Mac and cheese and rice and beans. First my meal was great, the ox tail was falling off the bone , the cabbage was season good and the plantains were good , it could have been a little bit sweeter but tasty nonetheless. My companion ordered the salmon, (which I took a bite of) the salmon was dry as hell, wouldn’t recommend it, the Mac and cheese was the best , and the rice and beans were average (you can’t really go wrong with it). Personally my only complaint is the service, the guy the was taking our order really didn’t seem like he wanted to be there maybe he was having a bad day. Idk ♀️, but first impression was as if we were bothering him by asking questions , and there is a speaker box you have to talk into , and maybe adding a sign that says “ I won’t hear you unless you speak into the speaker box “ because the guy taking my order was kinda rude. I didn’t enjoy the experience but I definitely enjoyed the food =Oxtails (would NOT recommend the salmon)

This was my first visit for Dat Jerk. I decided to visit while out of town for work. Unfortunately, there are no locations back home. I am currently sitting in my car outside of the establishment and have not tasted my meal yet, so I’m writing this review just based on the customer service. The cashier Kolton was an awesome worker. The world needs more cashiers like him. He provided awesome customer service, very courteous and very customer oriented. Keep up the awesome job and that great personality Kolton!!!!

This is one of our go to spots for dinner when we don’t cook at home. The food quality is reliably good, fresh and flavorful. The service is quick and everyone is kind. We typically order the jerk chicken family platter with stir fry veggies and plantains.

The food is always good. I ordered 1/2lb of their expensive jerk pork-yep, and I weighed it. $12 for half pound. I never expect good service at all. Most recent experience for 1 the entrance has some type of safety issue where there is extreme air pressure. Its either hard to open or shuts really fast. The lady that was serving the food was very welcoming( short lady). The 2nd lady(tall) at the register did everything else but acknowledge and when my food was ready she came to the register and was just looking at me. After a few awkward seconds she asked if im paying. No…im just standing here waiting on you to take your time….no biggie. I had to ask for my sauce because as soon as she placed my food down she addressed the next paying customer. Dismissive. I didn’t want to match energy so I waited until she was done and asked for my sauce and she just handed it to me. I asked her for a menu for my job for catering she handed me a business card and walked away. I asked for an actual menu for catering and she said go online. When I’m unhappy at a place of employment, I just find a new position…just sayin. Then I noticed after reviewing my receipt a few days later there was a tip of $1. Added… lol, yeah- ok. I have to look at my receipts prior to leaving establishments.
