My first time here and I must say I will be back next week! I’ve never been to one of these locations and the fact that I can get a really good big burrito with two sides and a drink for $22 is amazing. Fresh ingredients and I’m literally only halfway through and I’m stuffed. Shout out to y’all.

Ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas and fried plantains. The food was delicious. The jerk chicken tasted authentic. The fried plantains were very well done. The atmosphere is much better than other Jamaican restaurants that I’ve been to. Those restaurants were centered around food pick up, but Dat Jerk has an atmosphere that encourages dining in. I highly recommend and I will most definitely be back.

I enjoyed my chicken roti with DJ sauce. It was full of meat and flavorful, and the skin was not thick and doughy. It was still warm after traveling for 2 hours. I wish it had tamarind sauce to take it over the edge. I definitely recommend! My beef patty didn’t make it past the 3rd traffic light.

Hands down one of the best food experiences in Waldorf! From the moment I walked into DAT Jerk, the staff greeted me with warmth and genuine hospitality. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure customers felt welcomed which is rare and refreshing. The food was the real star. Fresh, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with care. Every dish tasted authentic and delicious you can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve. The portion sizes were generous and worth every penny. On top of that, the restaurant was spotless clean tables, well-maintained space, and an overall inviting atmosphere. You could feel the pride in the environment, from the front counter to the dining area. If you’re craving flavorful Caribbean cuisine and a great dining experience, DAT Jerk in Waldorf is definitely the place to go. Special shout out to Semaj and Ahmad for 5 five star customer service.

I absolutely love this place. The salmon is always on point the homemade macaroni and cheese absolutely delicious. The portion sizes are definitely not small. I always get the salad also which I absolutely love so much flavor. I can’t say enough good things about this place.I crave this place almost every day. I even ask other restaurants when I get salmon. Does it taste anything like dat jerk? And of course, they say nothing can compare to dat jerk salmon.

The young man who helped me was very warm and explained the menu and ordering process. My order came up pretty quick which I was happy about because I had to go back to work. I ordered the jerk pork, rice and peas with cabbage. The pork was well seasoned but extremely dry. Some of the edges were too tough/dry to enjoy. The rice and peas was not very flavorful and the cabbage could have used some salt. Overall not horrible but could have been better.

I ordered uber which I understand is going to be a bit expensive but I got the small oxtail, ended up paying almost $50 to pre tip the store and tip the driver. I was starving and had just finished a 20 hour shift and counted exactly 1,2,3,4 bites. The 4 bites was delicious but there was no rice, no side, and just 4 bites of meat. Just shy of $50. Make it make sense.
