Where do I start..gheesh..we were greeted at the door by Happy who not only had such a great welcoming personality but was incredibly knowledgeable about the food. She was so patient because this was our first visit so we had some questions. I got the tropical chicken, beans & rice and stir fried veggies. Hubby got the tropical chicken with the veggies and the mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese is super delish. Got a side of potato salad and plantains to try. They were delish as well. We were given samples of the brown stew chicken which I will definitely be getting next visit. The restaurant was very clean, food was fresh, hot & plentiful. Ate in the restaurant and was greeted by a manager who checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying everything and we definitely were. We will definitely be back very soon.

Dat Jerk is an absolute gem! I had the curry chicken with rice and salad, and it was delicious from the very first bite. The curry was perfectly seasoned, the chicken was tender, and the portion was generous without being over the top.
As someone with a serious shellfish crustacean allergy who travels with epi pens, this spot was an extra special find. It is a shellfish-friendly space with zero shellfish or crustaceans on the menu, which is an absolute must for me and gave me real peace of mind while dining.
The customer service was just as impressive as the food – everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed happy to have us there. The restaurant was clean and inviting, with a lively atmosphere and good tunes playing in the background. If I had closed my eyes, I could have sworn I was in Jamaica.
On top of all that, they are accepting donations for hurricane survivors, which shows their heart for the community. Dat Jerk has definitely earned a spot on my “must return” list – highly recommended!

Dat Jerk in Crofton is easily one of the best Jamaican spots around. The food is always full of flavor and cooked right every time. The brown stew chicken hits hard — tender, well-seasoned, and that gravy is perfect with the rice and peas. The oxtail is the real star though: fall-off-the-bone, rich, and seasoned just like it should be. Portions are generous and you definitely get your money’s worth.
If you’re craving real Jamaican food, Dat Jerk in Crofton won’t disappoint. Highly recommend the brown stew and the oxtail — they’re the dishes that keep me coming back.

It was so refreshing to find a Jamaican restaurant that remains true to the authenticity of our food and culture back home. The food was fantastic. Oxtail fell off the bones, rice and peas well seasoned and my husband had the jerk pork that was so juicy and smoky. It’s a must stop whenever you are in the area… Came for Panda Express and left with Dat Jerk! So happy I gave them a try. You should too!!! Mr. Seymour made the experience even more special! Forgot to take pics of the food because we just dug in…

FOOD IS WAY OVER PRICED!!! AND PORTIONS AVERAGE TO SMALL! Flavor is OK- but sometimes too salty, and sometimes too spicy.
I rarely go there, mostly because of the high prices – there are much cheaper options near by.

I can’t believe I’ve never been here before this is the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food, service, and ambient everything was the best. The ladies who took my order were so nice I felt like I was with family members there and could just be myself. The food was amazing too I ordered the tropical chicken bowl with rice and peas and plantains and omg I can’t even describe the taste it was just so amazing. I will be coming back.

We stopped here to get something for a friend who had been missing a taste of the Caribbean. In essence we ordered food as well. Our friend had oxtails and said it was delicious. I had a chicken curry wrap and that thing was huge.
I forgot to take pictures; however, on our way home my hubbie stopped again and got the beef bowl. He enjoyed it as well.
