Really used to love this place, but was very disappointed in the grilled cheese that is usually good here. We ordered the buffalo chicken, I and I am not kidding, there was like 4 tiny cubes of chicken in the whole thing. Like soup can sized cubes… and for almost 20$ the food seems to have gotten more expensive and smaller. Probably won’t visit anymore unfortunately after the last experience.

The Dash-in is one of our favorite downtown restaurants. This last visit I had a salad and had an avacado cream dressing that was so good I could eat it by the spoonful. We like eating indoors and on their small patio in the summer.

The Dash-In is such a vibe. It has some of the best sandwiches in the Fort, which are their various iconic grilled cheeses. And don’t forget the tomato soup (or the kettle chips) on the side – it’s to die for! Service is always friendly and the place is cozy, historic, and has a lot of greenery and decorations. I love it!
