The Grinch done take the seasonings and love out of food here, someone please save this place. On top of your Busch gardens ticket they forget to include the enormous fee of “food” being served at the quality of school food for the price of a decent establishment like Chilis. My family and I basically got every food item in the menu, and for context we like our food well prepared and seasoning. The only items worth trying are the Christmas dinner and the sausage sampler. Everything else was mediocre and below, even the soda. However for the price? For the price I expect mid restaurant level quality, not u.s. school cafeteria level quality. No flavor, stale, lukewarm, dry, and sad food. My brother who usually finishes his pizza took two bites and called it a day. They were all out of coke except for the diet coke which has the taste of a cup of water and two sugar teaspoons. Now don’t get me wrong the Christmas dinner and sausage sampler are alright, not the worst way to spend money, but everything else is a robbery. Also no refills on soda despite the soda costing about $7 and half the flavors missing. The audacity .

The only reason this isn’t one star is that I didn’t get food poisoning, and the show they play on stage is pretty pleasant.

We visited on a Saturday in late November 2025 during Christmas Town.

We had multiple all-day dining plans. We ordered the Christmas Dinner and 2 festhaus sausage samplers.

Honestly I was not a fan and especially for the price. Not impressed with either meal but my wife really enjoyed the sausages and mashed potatoes and red cabbage. She is also part german so I guess it made sense.

I probably would not have order anything else here if we didn’t have the all-day dining plans. But because we did, it was worth giving it a try. We were able to get 6 meals out of ours and that made each meal $5 based on what we paid for the all-day dining plan. That made it worth it in my mind.

Since the dinning plan comes with side or dessert options, we got 2 slices of the black forest cake and a assorted cupcakes. I wish they had signs telling you what the cupcakes where. They were just mystery flavored. The kids really enjoyed the cake.

The cool thing about eating here is that they have entertainment as well if you’re around during show times. BUT it was SOOO crowded. We found a open table/bench all the way in the back and we had to climb over other guests to get there. It was a bit much for anyone who doesn’t like loud noise or crowded spaces.

The new Christmas Town Live! show was pretty good. It’s a bit weird since the stage is in the center and the audience sits on both sides. I didn’t get to watch too much of it because we were busy getting food and eating.

The staff was nice and the line was long but moved quickly. One of the machines were out of ice but there were multiple machines. There was a little giftshop at the front of the restaurant as well when you first walk in.

I’m not a big fan of the food but everything all together was fine. I gave it 5 stars because my wife really enjoyed it and likes eating here. We were here almost 20 years ago when we were still dating and her fondest memory was eating sausages at Das Festhaus.

Food is extremely mediocre for the price and it is very inefficiently run. Every check out lane is open with no one in line due to the bottleneck in the food line. Do better Busch Gardens.

I got it, theme park food is overpriced. But geez. This food is especially bad and expensive. The sausage here is not fit to eat. Combine that with apathetic, solumn staff. Would not recommend.

There were a lot of food choices and the desserts looked wonderful! I got a Pizza for $16 and side salad for $8. It was a bit confusing on how to order and pick up the pizza since they were none sitting out to grab. I asked the lady behind the counter and she said, “I’ll bring it out”. I wasn’t sure if that meant to stay where I was but it was very busy and I didn’t want to hold up the line so I walked to the end of the line. A few minutes later, I still didn’t see my pizza come out so I asked a man who was putting ice in the fountain drink machine, where I would pick up my pizza. He pointed to a small counter beside the fountain machine. I stood there for a little bit and then saw the lady with my pizza but she couldn’t see me so I had to sorta yell for her to hear me. Once I got to the cashier, I saw all of the utensils but didn’t see the napkins. The cashier told me that they were at the end of each register. Once I paid, I still couldn’t find the napkins. I later found the dispensers mounted on the wall dividers behind the cashiers. The pizza was o.k. and the salad was good. I like the décor in the Festhaus.

We come here to eat every time we come to Busch Gardens because the food is excellent. You get so much food. Corn beef is cooked to perfection as is the sausages. We have never been disappointed over the years. Great place to get in air conditioning. The weekends they have shows. Bathrooms accessible from inside and outside.

Color me nostalgic but it just kills me when the park isnt playing the classic “old country” music. Dire Straits at the festhaus should be outlawed

This was my second visit there. Had the dining deal. Especially with the dining deal you get more than your money’s worth here. A full plate of almost nothing but meat what else could you want. If you want a piece of cake make sure you have others with you because it is huge. They also have a show there and they interact with the children making the experience enjoyable for the whole family! There is a gift shop and if you’re into beer they have that there too. The restrooms were Mega clean.

One of the best places to eat in the park, great shows while you eat, all year round great shows. It’s very pricey but more for your money here then other restaurants in the park. The blackforest cake is the best.
