A charming little café in downtown Spring City with a tidy, welcoming interior and exceptionally kind staff. I visited around 2:30 p.m. (breakfast ends at 11) and ordered the Mormon Mocha, Reuben sandwich, and a slice of carrot cake. The Reuben had excellent texture and flavorful sauerkraut, paired with a unique sauce that complemented it beautifully. The potato salad was well-seasoned with a subtle sweetness, and the Mormon Mocha tasted like a rich, coffee-flavored hot chocolate. The carrot cake was the highlight—moist, nutty, layered with cream cheese frosting, and topped with coconut, pairing perfectly with the Mocha. My total was about $41 with a 20% tip, a bit higher than expected but with generous portions. Next time I’d happily return just for an entrée or a slice of that incredible carrot cake. My server, Daniel, was especially friendly and attentive.

A true hidden gem in Sanpete County and the State of Utah! I have never been a fan of sauerkraut in my entire life until Das Cafe and so far only Das Cafe. Their Reuben sandwich and Kraut Burger are absolutely delicious! The ingredients and proportions they use compliment each other perfectly. The potato salad is one of my absolute favorites and the carrot cake is the BEST! I know my German ancestors would be semi-proud of me. We have sent 100’s of people there over the years and they have all loved it. The breakfast is fantastic as well and my wife and kids love it too. We highly recommend it!

Das Cafe’ is one of my wife’s absolute favorite places for a date night, and for good reason. Their carrot cake is incredible—arguably the best in the state—and worth the visit all by itself. They also do fun, thoughtfully curated meals for special occasions like Valentine’s Day and other events that you absolutely have to experience.

Everything is made fresh in-house, the service is consistently amazing, and the attention to detail really shows. And their Reuben sandwich? A true state treasure. DAS Café is a gem and a must-visit in Spring City.

Possibly the best restaurant in the county! Although they have limited hours, the food is exquisite. The Ruben sandwich and the carrot cake are MUST-TRY items!

This little cafe in Spring City is so cute. The staff was super friendly and helpful. But the most impressive part was the carrot cake. When I say that it’s by far the best I have ever tasted I am not exaggerating. If you love carrot cake, take a little drive and get some. Trust me you won’t be disappointed!!!

Wow! What a unique and pleasant surprise of a meal! I would drive out of my way for that unexpectedly sweet, dill gravy and mashed potatoes! The green bean soup with dill was great as well! The Reuben sandwich and Braut were pretty standard, but add the housemate saurkraut and gravy and you’re in for a treat! The dill potatoes salad wasn’t my favorite (I’m not a fan of bacon bits flavor). As for the breakfast, the omelette was okay. The waffle was a little dry. I would come for lunch instead. I’ll be back to try the famous carrot cake! ***if you liked my review or found it to be helpful give it a thumbs up. and follow me on Google Maps for more reviews!

Such an accommodating and cute little spot. Even on a busy day they made our daughter her single scrambled egg so she wouldn’t be waiting hungry. All the food was great, they were busy and one waffle came out a little overdone but was still good enough to eat the whole thing. Actually we ate everything! All 6 of us and no leftovers. The raspberry sauce on the waffle was so good. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and flavorful. We waited about 30 mins for food.

The deluxe waffle is as promised. Almost too much fruit for the waffle. The desserts tasted even better than they looked. The bratwurst was a bit bland but was cooked well.

I love the food. Wife had the waffle with fruit. It was great. I had the German breakfast Sausage, but they have not been able to get the German Breakfast Sausage for a couple of weeks. I substituted a Braut. It was a really good Braut, but not designed to have with eggs and German potatoes. It’s not their fault, there are no German breakfast sausages available from their supplier.
