Great food. I’d just recommend they move their boxes of supplies from the back tables. It kind of ruins the vibe. Overall, this is a great place to get some good sushi. The staff is very kind and accommodating.

Delicious gyoza and scallion pancakes. Shrimp Avocado Roll is good BUT has barely any shrimp. It’s like 7/8 avocado and 1/8 shrimp.

I ordered 3 orders of sushi rolls and when got it, all the sushi rolls were packed in one container. If I ordered 3 orders it should be 3 orders separate from each other. It was for different people to take. ALSO only gave me 1 sauce for the order that shouldn’t have been together.

Walked in and it was empty only one person at lunch time (2pm) already felt that was off but decided to try something new in the area. Got a simple lunch special which turned out to be $15 after tax. It is okay at best, eating because I’m hungry. Mushroom soup that came with barely has mushrooms and strong flavor of scallions. When I asked what kind of soup it was when ordering because menu does not indicate, cashier caught an attitude and instantly started tapping the counter , I should’ve just walked out then but didn’t want to keep walking around. Will not be back.

Good food. Decent prices. We ordered the 2 roll lunch special. I just wish they added more food or veggies inside their rolls. The spicy tuna roll had only that. Maybe with the lunch menu that’s how it comes but it should have more. The service is decent considering the large amount of people coming in to order food. The place is clean and there is plenty of seating. I think they should consider an option of grab and go for people who can’t wait around. Overall not bad.

The bathroom has a hole. You can tell rats come out of there… and go straight to who knows where

While I think this little spot has potential, it’s not ready yet. Aside from the unclean appearance, I watched the front chef using his hands to scoop up rice for an order. This is common for this type of restaurant but the chef is required to wear gloves, which this one did. The problem was he wore the same glove to wipe the counter and to handle meat. He did not change the glove before scooping the rice. Another thing I noticed while walking to the sitting area, was a door in the back was left open and inside I saw a tub filled with meat sitting in red sauce, chopped meat on a counter, and a garbage can right next to both and no one in sight. The floors were dirty and so were the tables. I found this place so unclean that I could not stomach to try the food. I threw it out after seeing all I saw and left.

Upon entering Daruma, the atmosphere is family friendly and the place is clean. Me and a friend ordered bento boxes and some sushi. The tuna rolls were really tasty and they give you nice thick pieces of tuna in the tuna roll, the Bronx Roll was very delicious with a slight kick of spiciness , the Bento boxes came with three pieces of California rolls , a container of rice , a container of salad , chicken over onions in their teriyaki sauce and two gyoza.
We paid 70$ in total.
This was not the lunch special because we came at 8 PM.
All the dishes were tasty and me and my friend left full and satisfied. I will come back to try the lunch special in the future so far A+.

Everything we had was fantastic. LOVED the gyoza. Thin and lightly crispy even after carrying them home. Chicken Teriyaki was flavorful, the eel and California rolls were great. The scallion pancakes were tasty. Even the dressing for the side salad was bright and fresh. . Excited to try more!
