I got the whole wheat focaccia and a baguette, Amy picked up a morning bun and an almond croissant, everyone loved the croissant, I heard remarks such as perfectly balanced, sweet but not too sweet and “did you finish it?” The baguette was sweet and begging to be made into a sandwich.
I’m big into focaccia these days and I appreciate a whole wheat half pan, crisp on the edges, large pockets of air and a gentle finish of olive oil. This is a great snack and ready for any dipping or side action.
The coffees were excellent! I had an oat milk latte with an extra shot. I’ll be back!
it came to us as a surprise as we were walking in Del Mar. The staff is supe friendly, super helpful and very kind. There are high chairs for children to sitdown outside and inside the Bakery.
We got the Indian Chai, I personally love Chia yet I have never heard of the Indian Chai so we tried it and LOVE it! They have so much of to describe, all kinds of Croissants, let’s start with the Chocolate tarts, Lemon Almond Tartlet, Lemon Meringe tarts, Chocolate Eclairs, cinamon rolls and other different Croissants. We settled for the Quiches Loraine and veggie. The flakiness of the dough, the buttery flavor and the bacon inside the Quiche Loraine had a hugge explosion of flavor in my mouth, they were so perfect, the veggies were frsh and just right. They have so muhc to offer and there is such alittle time, I would recommend you to check them out. You will not be dissapointed. My wife and I are already planning to going back very soon. They are very friendly and super awesome!
I’m not a coffee drinker but the available tea bags were good quality.
For the croissant, hot tea, and a tip, I spent $11.
I was so tempted to get a baguette, they had them on the counter reminiscent to bakeries you see in France.
Wifi was great here, even sitting outside. I loved their mix of small and big tables on the patio. They also had a few tables inside.
The Valencia Mocha has a touch of orange. Yum. I have had it both hot and iced. Both are so good, so I just love the coffee here. The Mocha with Vanilla is amazing too. And, the Almond Croissant was heavenly. And the fresh squeezed orange juice is wonderful!
A local surfer said I ‘had’ to try this place. That is always a great sign, I think. He was so right. And, he also said I ‘had’ to try the Peach Delight Bar because it was delicious. Right again.
There is a nice patio area to sit outside and glimpse the ocean. The seating and decor is very simple and unpretentious. I like that.
They have been out of the focaccia bread for sandwiches occasionally. I guess I do love that it is made fresh, so that will happen.
They are making some excellent food here! The staff has been a delight; so cheerful and helpful. This is my favorite French bakery in the area.
