Love eating local and supporting smaller restaurants. Heard about Darren’s Pizza Shack so we stopped after a WVU basketball game. We were greeted when we entered and sat down. Nice little place with a very good menu. We ordered a large Carnivore pizza and three drinks. The pizza was very good and well priced. This place is a hidden gem in Morgantown. If you’re in the area, stopped by and give them a chance.

Always nice to have a new place in town. They have a lot of potential but some things still need worked out. The pizza itself was phenomenal, so that definitely doesn’t need any changing. I like that they have a bunch of unique combinations and a 7-inch personal pizza so you can try a bunch at once.
I was expecting the BBQ wings to be sauced, not a dry rub, so that was a bit disappointing. However, they weren’t bad. The breading on the jalapeño poppers was kinda stale too. I understand this location is brand new so they probably still have some kinks to work out and I would be more than willing to order from here again.

I like Darren’s Pizza Shack better than Al’s!! First off they offer chicken wings! They’re good but they’re tiny. When I got my food home, it was still hot. The crust on the pizza isn’t super hard and had good flavor. People are friendly. Will definitely be back to try other items on their menu.

Gabe and Jacob have phenomenal customer service skills. Traveling through the area to visit a buddy, I was not disappointed with the pizza here. The carnivore pizza was excellent. Anybody in the Morgantown area, you need to get yourselves to this pizza joint. 10/10 would recommend.

Pizza is very bland. Cheese burnt and nothing tasted very good. Our breadsticks also had a hair on it so that was kind of gross. The staff was very kind to me and helped quickly and politely. The place was empty and sad. No customer traffic at all but after tasting the food I can kind of see why. Unless they figure out how to make flavorful pizza, there is just no reason to ever go here with homegrown pizza in the area.

I give the stuffed crust pizza an 8.5 out of 10 it had great tasting sauce and cheese. And I give the cheese breadsticks a 10 out of 10 and was by far the best I’ve had for a very long time.

Their pizza tastes yummy, but their largest is only 15 inches. $20.66 for a 15” large is crazy.
