Everything was good here especially the chocolate milkshake. I tried the peanut butter burger which they are quite famous for, I liked it but not that much as I don’t like peanut butter. But it was overall a very good experience. The servers were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place if someone want’s to give it a try.

Was welcomed as soon as I walked into the door, very friendly staff. Tried the peanut butter burger and it was interesting, but in a good way. The peanut butter was not sweet so it didn’t give extra sweetness to the burger but a bit of crunch. I had this paired with Darrell’s fries, which is cut wedges coated with I think a Cajun seasoning. I also tried the sweet potato fries. It came with a creamy garlic herb sauce which paired beautifully.

Delicious burger and fries (get the Darrel fries!) with friendly service. The patio was lovely. Although the burger was very tasty and filling, it did seem a little expensive compared to similar burgers elsewhere across the country. But their website says they do use quality, local ingredients. So, worth it.

i’d heard good things about this place from a friend and finally had the time to give it a go.
the cheesy garlic bread we got was PHENOMENAL; i would happily just come back for that. our burgers were also super tasty! to top it all off, our server was super friendly and very attentive! i will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone looking for a good burger joint!

Went to Darrells with my family after seeing so many positive things about them online. We had 3 servers come to the table over the course of our meal and every.single.one was awesome. Between checking to see if we needed anything to how the food was, to stopping by and making conversation when we grabbed the bill, excellent.
The food arrived quick and it was presented so nicely. Great size portions and the milkshake even came with another full milkshake! The darrell fries are also delicious. If youre looking for a great spot for the price or a place to bring your family to eat, i couldnt recommend darrells enough

The BLTCM burger was a superior burger( so says my darling wife). Her Darrell’s beer was awesome too. I had the Corn Chowder and it was hot and steamy with loads or taste. (needs more crackers included) Very good Chowder. We will sure be going back. Our server was awesome and very courteous. He even had her meal cut in half as she asked. He thought we were sharing the meal and brang it out on 2 plates. But my wife could not finish such a big burger. Thanks for thinking of your customer!!

I had been to Darell’s once before but wanted to go again to try their famous Peanut Butter Burger. I also got the Darell Fries to make it a complete experience.
While I would say I loved it, it is a taste that totally depends on your love for Peanut Butter. I like it so naturally it felt delicious to me. But in general, the basics were done right so it is a good burger. Oh but definitely go for the Darell fries. It has a nice Cajun spice to it.
My friend had a salad which she said was fine. The place has a old school diner vibe with excellent service and a good atmosphere. It’s a good place to relax in my book. Definitely worth a try if you’re around that region in Halifax.

We’ve eaten here before and enjoyed it. This time it was just ok. I tried the peanut butter burger and was not a fan. The mustard and the peanut butter just don’t match well together, imo. The bun was really fresh and soft and the burger patty itself had good flavour. Unfortunately the fries were “meh” and the gravy isn’t homemade. It tasted like it was from a can. The kids burger is a great value for the size, my son said he enjoyed it. The steak on the steak poutine resembled shaved deli roast beef. Understanding that the cost of everything has gone up we found it to be expensive. Our meal for 4 was $78 before tip and that included the peanut butter burger, kids cheeseburger and fries, small original poutine, and the steak poutine. We also ordered one Oreo milkshake and a Diet Pepsi.

I had a great experience at Darell’s restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the food was delicious. I ordered the veggie burger, which was hands down the best veggie burger I’ve ever had in Halifax. It was little dry, but flavourful, and satisfying. The darells fries were also yummy, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty and affordable meal.
