Reviews
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting , a perfect mix of modern and cozy. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit.
The food was exceptional , beautifully presented and full of flavour. Every dish was cooked to perfection, with great attention to detail and quality ingredients. The drinks menu was equally impressive, with a great selection of cocktails and wines to complement the meal.
Overall, it’s one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Swansea. Highly recommend Dark Horse for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a lovely ambiance. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!
The staff member who served us was such a gentleman — extremely polite, attentive, and welcoming. The service really made the experience even better.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Indian cuisine. Definitely one of the best meals we’ve had!❤️
Paired with spicy chole, tangy onions, and green chilies, the platter is perfectly balanced and satisfying. With generous portions and rustic presentation, it’s a must-try for kulcha lovers and fans of authentic North Indian cuisine. ⭐
I have to say, the food here is on another level. We had one of the nicest meals in a long time with our family, and they perfectly accommodated the 6 (plus one baby) of us.
The staff are super attentive, and the food just speaks for itself. It takes a while to come out, but it’s all cooked from fresh and is well worth the wait!
Really lovely place to have some real authentic food.
Made a takeaway order and, living only 2 minutes drive away, the forecasted delivery time was 45mins-1hour. After 1.5 hours I called up to see where it was, and they confirmed they hadn’t even started cooking yet…. It arrived around 1 hour 50 mins after being ordered…
Bad service aside, I’m writing this review because of how poor the food was. I ordered a range of dishes, none of them were cooked well with the exception of the popadoms (consolation gift) and the plain basmati rice.
The main curries (Korma, Butter Chicken, biryani) were tasteless and greasy. The starters (wings & chicken tikka) were equally plan with the added bonus of the wings having a nice soggy batter (added texture).
Overall, cost me a lot (not a cheap place) and most of it went in the bin. Advise visitors or locals alike against this place as its aesthetic but no substance (go Rasoi etc….).
I well go back to try other dishes and hope for a better result.
Reopened as a curry house now June 2024 visit.
Staff were good. Service was good.
Music was a little intrusive and almost odd for a restaurant. Not a fan.
Food was OK but my tarka dall and alsoo gobi were very salty.
Disappointed by the onion bhaji as too small/ overcooked.
My wife liked he butter chicken.
Also quite expensive.
Sorry guys but I don’t think we will be back.
