Fantastic service, incredible food, and seriously excellent coffee!
After exploring countless coffee shops near and far, Dark Horse has been one of our absolute favorite discoveries this year. They’ve delivered consistently every single visit. The Shaken Honey Espresso is easily one of the best drinks around (we hope this goes on the forever menu!) Don’t sleep on the Chorizo & Fontina burrito, any of the toasts, or honestly anything they make.
But what truly sets this place apart is the service. The team is warm, welcoming, and genuinely wonderful.

Don‘t know where to start to be honest.
For us, as Germans, who used to eat not that food like Americans do, this was THE place to eat!!!
After a long time of eating unhealthy, this place was like paradise.
Really fresh and good food! What they doing with avocados, that’s art, not food.
The service and the people, phenomenal!
We had a good time there enjoying our breakfast and delicious coffee.
Highly recommend.
We will definitely come back!!!

Holy smokes! The drinks here are out of this world, exceptional. I got a Matcha with coconut and dairy free cold foam and it was unbelievable. My brother got the Shroom latte with Matcha and vanilla and it was also great although mine was better. 😉
The service was exceptional, people were so so nice and friendly, and really took their time telling me what was the best.

Visited this coffee shop in Sayville & was impressed with the food & atmosphere & staff in the kitchen. The coffee menu was intriguing with variations to include a shroom latte & the breakfast options were great! Live in the area and never knew this gem was here until my friend took me. Best wrap I’ve ever had! Food is fresh and extremely cost reasonable. Staff are super friendly. Atmosphere is very casual-7 tables but did not feel pressure to rush. Music and books in the background. Will be back-maybe tomorrow, lol!

I recently placed a catering order from Dark Horse for my coworkers, and I couldn’t be more impressed! The sandwiches were sooo delicious and full of flavor—everyone raved about them. They made things incredibly easy by including utensils, tongs, and plates, which was such a thoughtful touch. I also ordered one of their giant jugs of coffee, and it was FILLED TO THE BRIM—plenty to keep the whole team energized.
Overall, I’m so happy with the order and will absolutely be placing another one when the next event comes up. As a bonus, I love that they offer a healthy lean bone broth during the season—it’s such a cozy, nourishing option. Highly recommend Dark Horse if you’re in the Sayville area!

Great concept, top notch service. Good coffee. Five distinct seating areas offer couches and arm chairs or seating at tables in a more open space. A lot of natural lighting. I didn’t try the food, but check the fabulous menu. Wi-fi. Overall a winner. Opened Nov. 8, 2025, running smoothly.

What a gem this place is. The coffee was top notch. The croissant and apple turnover were delicious and warm. The aesthetics were good. It needs a bit more color and atmosphere but it’s beautiful as it is. I felt like my butt was in people’s tables while I was on line, it was busy. Maybe they should push the line to the wall? No other critique. This place is worth a visit for a coffee and a snack at the least. The lunch item looked amazing. Tell em Barsnobs sent ya!
