Uhmmmm.. yes. All of it is good. Most restaurants can be hit or miss with some of the sides. Everything is good here. The hush puppies could use a splash of honey but everything is good. Will most definitely be back. Ordered the 6. Ate one side for lunch and the other for dinner. Very pleased.

Crab legs hit and that popcorn chicken was so good plate was full on both ends definitely worth the money customer service was great. And I finished with a daq. I had the Snow Crab Legs and it comes with a small corn and 2 potatoes and when I tell you it was GOOD!! My husband had catfish nuggets and fried shrimp and really liked it. The service was excellent and the restaurant is super clean. Good value – $30 with Tax for the Crab Legs and Popcorn Shrimp/Fries. 2 different meals.

Me and my kids frequent this spot a lot but yesterday before I went to work I stopped by to see if they had crawfish. They indeed had a sign on the speaker that said live crawfish so I ordered 1 pound along with the shrimp and potatoes. The crawfish was 15.99/lb. That was a little pricey but I paid for it because that’s what I had a taste for and I’ve had their crawfish several times last season and it has been good. I was highly disappointed to find out when I started eating, it was frozen. It taste like straight cardboard. The only reason I didn’t give them a 1 star was because everything else was good and customer service is always top tier but I probably won’t get the crawfish again being that you don’t know if they are just trying to make a sell so they say it’s live and it’s really not or if it’s really indeed live. I was just very irritated with this experience.

Pure laziness!! I’ve never seen a salad so poorly prepared. There’s a WHOLE tomato on the salad. Why not cut it up? A thousand pickles, a little lettuce, cheap cheese and lettuce and a flimsy fork to try and eat it with. The meat came in a separate container (big slabs of chicken that could’ve been cut up) so trying to eat it is way more preparation than needed. A salad is not difficult to prepare. This is more than a review. Who is familiar with the person that don’t play about their catfish (me that’s who) . I was a little spectacle at first when I arrived because the place was clean outside and inside. majority of the times the little hole in the wall joints have the best catfish, but Dan’s surprised me.
From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with a smile and hospitality (which is rare today). As I looked the menu over; the hostess recommended that I tried the whole catfish with optional sides. I was open to whatever cause she said that its a “COOK-TO-ORDER” establishment.
My food was prepared and ready within 10-15 minutes as she started. Now, I didn’t want to check my food and have that disappointing look on my face right in front of her…cause I’ve been known to take fish back with my cash back in hand. So, I went to the car to take a look-see.
Y’all I begin the inspection . Smelled better than it looked . Now it’s time for the taste test. I pinched off a pretty good piece from the middle and started chewing. As I was chewing and looking upwards out the right side of my eye (with the left squinched in). I had to pause for a minute and began the process all over again. I was in amazement.
The review does not justice. A 5 is not high enough for “this” review. I give /gave them a 9.3 due to no pepper or pickles…but hey. They may have extra condiments by request (I didn’t think to ask). But anyway, I had to call and let her know that this was the best fish I’ve had in a long time (hands-down).
Oak Cliff raised…now Suburban style living just looking for some good ole Catfish…that’s all. Be blessed people and good check out Dan’s…you’ll thank me later.

Do not order the gumbo unless you want a celery, bell pepper, shrimp and chicken soup. The gumbo was watery and needed more flavor.
The catfish nuggets were decent, but the batter was fried so hard that that’s really all I could taste. I’m glad it had a good taste, but I would have really liked to enjoy the taste of the fish.

Usually my family has been going to this Dan’s like once a month since I arrived to Dallas last year in mid November, to get dinner and usually we would enjoy our meal. But a couple of days ago my mom she buys dinner for everyone. But the next day she gets a stomach ache, as well as my sister and as well as my niece. I was fine though but they were genuinely throwing up and was sick for like a day. So today my sister calls the Dan’s back to speak to a manager or something. But whoever she spoke to being the cook or something told her it was a personal problem when not only she got sick but my mom and niece a day later after eating the food dinner that night. I’m highly disappointed and was a fan of this restaurant before getting such poor service. 🙁 I still have faith that this restaurant can come back from this so for this I’m leaving a three star review.

I like it here! Lol my first time eating at this location and it was great. I had the Shri salad and it was enough to last for lunch and dinner with some still left over. I was amazed on how good the daiquiri was. I ordered the Suicide. Totally amazing! No headache, no after taste etc they really did good.
