In the past, I have gotten a “thick burger” from Dan’s, exactly like I want: blue rare. Apparently, I didn’t realize that “thick” is out and “smashed” is the only choice. When I wrote out my to-go order, I wrote “not smashed” and “blue rare.” I got smashed, albeit about as rare as a thin burger could be, which is a credit to the chef, but it still wasn’t “thick.” My order written out and handed to the server behind the bar said “burger, no cheese, not smashed.” That didn’t come out as I wanted. I also expected typical accompaniments like lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, as shown on the menu under “All Americal Burger.” Nothing. Bare meat on a bun. It was a to-go order, so I just took the bag and went. I was quite disappointed when I got home. I didn’t specifically write out “All American Burger,” but I think I should have gotten more than just bare meat on a bun. If the order taker thought that’s what I wanted, so atypical for a burger, maybe a question to confirm such an unusual order would have been appropriate. Other parts of the order, French Fries, Onion Rings, all as good as expected. But the burger was quite far from what Dan’s has delivered in the past.

We had little difficulty finding the “Winter” entrance. Seating and service was prompt. Food (appetizer and main course) was piping hot when served. Beer list was robust. Server was attentive. Enjoyed our lunch and will visit when we are in the area again.

A great pub in downtown Saline.
We come here each year after a local EMU event and it keeps getting better.
The staff are really friendly and nice. Dan himself was working when we were here.
The menu is just the right size and everything is really good. There is a large beer selection and it’s got a great variety.
Overall we had a good time as always and we will keep coming back.
Recommended.

Good selection of craft beer, good to great food, nice kitchen guy, and service not so great. slow and have to ask for everything (at least the person assigned to our table). The entire time there, she lacked a concept of checking-in to see if all of ok or not. The other service person seemed super nice.

In town for baseball. Showed up unannounced with about 20 people, kids and adults. The Staff was excellent and sat us in less than 15 minutes. I tried the peanut butter burger that I had heard about. The burger was cooked well. The Bacon could have been a little crispier, but that is a personal preference. It was good, but seemed to be lacking a bit on flavor overall. Needs some sort of sauce, or jelly. Lol. I would definitely go back and try other items on the menu. Lots of things sounded good.

Great food. Had the Stuffed Jalapenos. There is some meat in it. Doesn’t call it out in the menu. Not too cooked. Jalapenos still had plenty of kick. Also had the garlic burger. Was very strong on the garlic. There are many burger options and you can get the burger very big if you want. Up to 6 parties!
Went for lunch and there was only two on staff. Took them a while to bring water even though only a few tables had people.

Can’t go wrong with small town tavern food, haven’t had anything bad from the menu but would definitely recommend the burgers.
Last time in, caught them at a busy night but our server, Grace did fantastic just had to wait a few for the drinks to arrive.
Lots of TV’s playing all the sports with plenty of casual seating. Family friendly.

This place was awesome! Very spacious, clean friendly and fast. Went in for a lunch and the staff was awesome (friendly, quick and attentive). Not long at all to push out 4 orders. The food was extremely good. The Michigan Wrap, chicken sandwich, Rubin and chicken wrap; all were amazing. Great flavor and good portions for the price. Looks like they have space for rent for retirement parties and or birthday parties. Front and back entrance.

My family has been coming here since I was very young and I loved being a regular as a kid. Nick has been working there since I can remember, and is a great server. It always feels clean inside, which I appreciate. It gets pretty loud at night and I love the atmosphere, but before the dinner crowd it’s quiet and the good music can be heard.
