We so looked forward to the reopening. We had the chicken fried steak, and it was remarkable. Last night, we ordered for takeout, and it was terrible. I hate to complain online, but we couldn’t get through by phone. My husband was missing his salad, and why they put in these fried tomatoes is beyond me. The fries were old and cold. The pork belly burnt ends were so hard they were inedible. This was the only bad experience we have had with these owners. Everyone has bad days, so this will not stop us from going there again.

Everything comes in aluminum trays, not dishes. Food choices are not appealing. Meal was obviously designed to add flavors to and the base was underwhelming. Brisket is not the “method” of cooking…it’s literally the cut of the beef. Pork butt cooked “like” a brisket is NOT a brisket. Flavor is flat, presented in jailhouse style, and that was supposed to be the “NEW”, best place to dine. The new floor was nice, too bad it was STICKY. The servers were running around (busy) and doing well with customer service. A restaurant that is handing out cans of beverages, seems a bit off putting, especially when the menu states 2.5 dollars for them. Between us all, we didn’t manage to walk away with a single thing that would cause us to return.

Good food, I originally thought it was a fish place. Sign was a little misleading. But the fish sandwich I got was the best I’ve had in years. The waitress was a superstar, handling the whole restaurant by herself while the owner cooked. It was perfect!

This is my favorite place to stop and eat. It has great food, great people, and great atmosphere!! Everytime we stop here the food is delicious!! I get the Hens Burger, my family gets the fish basket, chicken basket, or the regular cheese burger and it is always good! For dessert we recommend the banana split or fudge cake sundae!!! Can not express how much we love going here!!

Over priced, barely edible food, server didn’t even know the tiny menu they use, got charged for what was included in the children’s meal. Myself and my wife’s food wasn’t even properly cooked or what was ordered…

We came from Mississippi state line to eat. It had a 1950’s diner vibe with cool art work from a local artist. It did not disappoint. DELICIOUS. I have never had better chicken. Nice family, excellent service, and amazing food. We will be back. Do yourself a favor and go, and make sure you get dessert.

The wait staff were awesome. Customer oriented. The food was great, especially the fish we had. Burger was done but still very juicy. Everything we had was great . The Buffet needed to be refilled but what was there, looked very appetizing. As a former restaurant owner, I would highly recommend Dan’s Cafe. Y’all need to go eat there. I’ve been there at different times of the day and everything is very good
