We used to get Danny’s Tacos regularly and I remember it tasting different.

This was my first time getting a torta, and I’m a little disappointed. I was thrown off by the cheese and the fact that they use lettuce instead of cabbage. The salsa was thrown on one corner which was basically my last bite (I just thought they didn’t add any).

My husband said the tacos were “alright”.

I remember the asada being really good and flavorful but it just doesn’t hit the same 🙁 it’s still good. But not *as* good.

Disclaimer: my frustration stems from multiple bad experiences with our local Mexican restaurants, but this just sent me over the edge. So, I’ve been craving a good burrito the last couple of days and finally decided to give this spot a chance because it seems pretty popular. I ordered a “Supreme” asada burrito. I asked the lady what their version of supreme included and she told me “sour cream” and salsa. I said “ok, I’ll take a supreme asada burrito. Thank you.” $13 later…She lied to my paying face. Not only was there NO SOUR CREAM, but the rice and beans were HELLA SKIMPY! Hardly any meat and it seemed like they use the salsa as filler: soooo many onions. I’m pissed. I’m tired of working up the urge to try and find some decent food and then getting completely exploited by these lying, deceiving con artists. The pictures you all see are fabricated- that is not what they serve to the general population. This place sucks, and I will NEVER spend another penny on this rip-off of a taco truck. I could have done better with my eyes closed.

My order here is the CARNE ASADA nachos but no beans because it distracts from that incredible carne flavor! Danny’s Carne Asada anything is the best in town. Sooooo good. This is my favorite place to eat in town hands down. Can’t wait to see this business grow in Merced.

Been coming to Danny’s for a few months my wife has been a long time customer though. Food has been absolutely delicious! Tacos hit the spot for them being a little small they pack a punch Green salsa always everything on it! Even the carne asada fries with everything on it was absolutely amazing! Danny gives us updates what location he’ll be at which is a plus happy to swing by and pick up our next order with how fast the service is wait time around 10 minutes

I was all excited for tacos after work. And even tho it showed they were open, the lady working it ignored me completely. Won’t be coming back here.

I love how inexpensive their tacos were. When I seen my total I was happy. I also love the plates they use because they help not make a mess. I just wish that they served jalapeños on the side like most other taco trucks. I need my jalapeño lol. Overall the tacos were yummy.

3/24/22 4:54pm- Today I attended my oldest daughter’s School open house. I was advised that Danny’s tacos was going to be there selling food to the public. The School’s open house hours were going to be from 5:30pm to 6:30pm, so myself and my wife arrived early to enjoy the food. 4:54pm is when I placed my order, I had no problem waiting considering the turn out we had in attendance. After some time I noticed no numbers were being called out to notify customers their orders were ready, given we had a number tag the staff had given us to fallow. 5:45pm is when my patience began to wear thin. 51 minutes had gone by with no movement whatsoever. Finally I asked for my money back because the allotted time was at its halfway point for the open house. I’ve heard so many good thing about Danny’s tacos to be let down in such a way that I no longer trust such fancy looking taco trucks. I think it’s in the best Interest that I stay with the more common looking Hispanic taco truck’s since they have yet to let me down. If you’re looking for “Speed” and “Quality”, Danny’s tacos isn’t it. To quote one customer who was also frustrated there “I think the DMV is much more organized than this place”.

Here we go.

Their food is pretty good considering the reasonable price. Sometimes there’s a long wait, but again for some it’s worth it to wait. Regardless, a good habit for here is ordering ahead of Time.

Now, there are two issues.
1) They don’t do this often, but kitchen at times is not consistent.
2) I tried placing my order almost 1 hour ahead of time. I texted twice, called 4 times. Never answered.

They usually don’t answer texts when they’re busy. But by the time I arrived, they looked anything but busy. When I approached them, they claimed they never got a text or calls.

I’d recommend, just know what to expect.

Danny’s taco is one the best unique tasting food trucks there is. If I had to describe it, i would say it doesnt taste like generic mexican taco food trucks… hahaha. The meat is juicy, tender, and Very Well Seasoned. Periodt. If for some reason they change owners and the seasoning they use is different. You can say goodbye to me as a customer. I come for the delicious taste of Danny’s taco. Not not Danny’s taco. Also they’re menu prices rose since about 09/20/2022. Not everything is raised, but a few are. Still well worth the money!

Got two steak burritos and a bean and cheese the other day. Bean and cheese torilla had some black marks from burn and tasted like burn(not the good grilled tast but burt tortilla). There was way more bean than cheese, and that would be okay if the beans had seasoning or something, but it was extremely bland. My burrito was horrible, I took comfort in hoping the steak burritos were atleast good for my brother and father. They both said the burrito had ground meat not steak and tons of rice, they had to open the burrito remove some rice, and both had leftover tortilla and rice they threw away. Pretty embarassing to buy someone lunch and for it to be terrible. You guys used to be the best Taco truck. Sad to see it go down hill.
