Dinner Menu – Danny’s Restaurant
Reviews
It was crowded but not loud. I had the Ralph’s Tuna Melt with potato chips for lunch. The melt was delicious with a big portion of tuna and cheese. I had to take the second half home for dinner.
Danny’s South is a well maintained pub with a neighborhood feel. It has Buffalo Bills and other area memorabilia. It also has a fine collection of Mickey Mouse memorabilia, toy trains and toy airplanes.
It is a great dining experience for not only football fans but also families, couples and groups of all sizes.
Enjoy and go Bills!
“I dunno… Eating a fish still sounds wrong…”
I’ve had Danny’s Fish Fry take out and have always enjoyed it but this was my first time dining in.
Service was great with a home style that makes you feel more like family than a customer. Salad bar doesn’t have a large variety but there’s enough there AND four soups, including their Buffalo Wing soup. Entrees are good, fair portions, reasonably priced. My only “ding” would be the decor; eclectic and feels a little dated. Not bad but nothing you’d expect these days.
Overall all good enough that we’d GLADLY return and recommend to our friends.
“Tell ‘em Jack n’ Hal sent you.”
“Yeah, they may not know what it means but tell ‘em anyway.”
From the moment you walk in, Danny’s gives you that warm welcoming Buffalo corner bar vibe with a heavy sprinkle of Buffalo Bills. They’re in close proximity to both the old and new Buffalo Bills stadiums. From the larger dining area, if you look out the big window, you see the new stadium going up as your backdrop.
Service is great and the staff was friendly. I went with the Buffalo platter, which had a beef on weck sandwich, four chicken wings and fries. Very filling. The beef was more well done than it would have liked, but was still surprisingly moist and tender. The wings were tasty but a little dry for me. The fries were as expected. Definitely a good meal overall.
Especially if you’re near the stadium and looking for a place to eat, this is going to be your best bet (within walking distance). A lot of history there and a worthy stop for sure.
My son was in bathroom. She said I see you have a kids menu there I said yes! The look of discussed on her face.
Felt like being rushed to order she came over 2x.
Would refill one glass at the table at time instead of just bringing 3 for the 3 of us.
Felt like she/server was high or she live in la la land.
Food was nothing special! I remember the salad bar was hoppen back in the day felt like it was not the same.
The wrap was dry.
Roast beef sandwich was dryer then dry.
Don’t go there during home games if you are in a hurry or need to get out quickly.. it’s VERY close to the stadium and difficult to get in and out right around game time (which is to be expected).
Unfortunately our most recent visit was not up to the usual standard.
First I ordered a side of tartar sauce-which I was charged $1.50 for-and they forgot it.
Then they forgot our fries and had to catch us as we were pulling out of the lot. Then they came back out AGAIN and told us they’d given us an extra soup and we needed to pay for it. We gave it back instead…
Food is good but not going back after this crummy experience. Paid 85 bucks–including a ten dollar tip!!– for lunch takeout I expect things to be as I ordered and not charged 1.50 for something they didn’t even remember to give, and taking back the soup was just gross and frankly rude.
