Danny’s Philly Steak is a family-operated restaurant. Mom in the front, son in the back, a 2 man team from open to close. All our food is made to order. 11am until 1pm are our peak hours. We are a carry-out style restaurant with very limited inside seating.

Came from Summerville to try this place out. Just based on the customer service alone I’ll absolutely make the trip back downtown.
Gary was so nice and helpful. Talked about the menu to us, took his time since he knew it was our 1st time there. He was the best ! The food was really good as well. I had gone to another establishment days earlier for a Philly and ended up leaving before we got our food due to the horrible service and getting a rock in our appetizer that we were told they would take off half… ended up not paying anything which was the only positive thing that happened there, anyways, I being in the FnB industry greatly appreciate how things are ran at Danny’s. Can’t wait for an excuse to drive downtown for another Philly.

I would like to commend the sweet tall lady who assisted us with our orders. She was exceptionally kind, accommodating, and warm throughout our visit. The Philly and mushroom cheesesteaks were outstanding, and we will definitely return to try the other varieties. The cheesy fries were also excellent, with a generous amount of cheese. We were pleasantly surprised when the sweet tall lady offered us a complimentary carrot cake in celebration of our wedding anniversary. It was a thoughtful gesture we truly appreciated. The carrot cake turned out to be our favorite as well. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who has not yet tried it.

This was so worth it. Everything was made to order, the service was friendly and even gave us suggestions for later. I got the Philly steak, and honey, got the fish Po Boy, and we both agreed it was so good. Well seasoned. Definitely a must visit.

I only got the egg rolls originally was supposed to take them back to my hotel they didn’t make it out the door. I sat and ate them inside the restaurant and enjoyed a good conversation with the owners. Very loving and friendly. I definitely will go back just because they were genuine.

First time eating here. Visiting while on business. The food here is great! If that wasn’t enough, Gary is very polite and attentive. He remembers everyone’s names and checks up to make sure everything is good. A big plus is that this location has a parking lot which is very difficult to find in the area. Definitely recommend getting the Philly cheesesteak!

This was the first place I visited once I got to Charleston. I was looking for a quick late bite before my horse carriage tour just a flew blocks away.
The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how familiar the place felt despite never having visited. I didn’t feel so out of place. The decor was pretty funny!
The FOH staff was incredibly kind, too! We had a warm and friendly conversation.
My food came out quickly and was hot and delicious! I ordered the supreme garden Philly cheesesteak. It was great! I also had a little barrel juice which I haven’t had since I was a kid.
Overall, it was a great, tasty, and filling meal. I’m grateful that this was my first stop on my trip.

I had an incredible experience at Danny’s Philly Steaks! The pepper cheese steak was absolutely perfect—packed with flavor and cooked just right. The carrot cake was a delicious treat, too! What truly stood out was the warm, welcoming atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us like family, making us feel right at home. Plus, there’s plenty of parking, which is always a bonus. Don’t miss this gem if you’re in town—highly recommend!

What a gem little establishment. The food is prepared and seasoned to perfection. I was inquiring where do the locals eat ? And no, not seafood. Looking for a good burger, sandwich or maybe a deli. Danny’s Philly Steaks was suggested. After shopping or maybe a carriage ride ,take a stroll over. I promise you will not be disappointed.
