Solid almost-dive bar tucked in amongst the shops and restaurants on Coronado! Can definitely tell it’s a Navy haunt from the decor and vibes. Not cheap, but cheaper than most other places around the island. Menu is fairly limited; if you’re not in the mood for burgers, a single chicken sandwich, or fries/onion rings, don’t come here for food. Came for lunch on a Wednesday and it wasn’t busy at all. Service was fast, and staff was very friendly and helpful!

Ordered an Original Slamburger, a Yankin & Bankin burger, and a half basket of frings (mixed fries and onion rings). Burgers were good, and plenty of cheese on the Y&B, but the patties and grilled onions were slightly overcharred and they were out of some of the standard toppings. Fries were pretty basic, and onion rings were of the battered variety.

This place is a sleeper. The burgers are awesome. Simple and delicious. The bar is great as well. Veteran friendly is an understatement. Tributes to the service members who gave all are everywhere.

Fun and attentive service, chill divey vibes, and delicious food. A biiittt pricey for what you’re getting in terms of food, but considering the area it’s in I’ll give them a break on that.

Overview: Known among locals as the “Navy Seal Bar,” this establishment lives up to its reputation as one of the coolest hangout spots in town. My visit here provided unique insights into the heart of the community.

Local Vibes: The authenticity of this place shines through, thanks in no small part to its staff, who are proudly local and have a genuine warmth for fellow residents. It’s true, this spot isn’t particularly tourist-centric, but that’s precisely what gives it its charm.

Patriotic Support: One thing that’s immediately evident is the unwavering support for our troops. The atmosphere here exudes a deep appreciation for the military, and it’s heartening to see such a display of patriotism.

Conclusion: The “Navy Seal Bar” is more than just a place to hang out; it’s a glimpse into the soul of the community. If you’re seeking an authentic local experience and a chance to connect with the spirit of support for our troops, this bar is a must-visit. It may not cater to tourists, but that’s part of what makes it so special. Embrace the local vibes and take in the patriotic atmosphere—it’s an experience worth having.

Burger was good, but come on with the pricing. Super slam burger was $16.00 and a side of fries was $7.00. $24.78 for a burger and fries. Fries were over cooked/terrible. If you’re gonna charge $7.00 it should be an enormous quantity of perfect fries. I won’t be eating here at these prices. Burger was good…not great. Danny’s used to be the best in SD. Now they aren’t even in the top 3 in Coronado.

Place has a heavy VFW vibe without being one. Good food and the staff was very friendly. If your looking to change up the beach vibe for cold drinks and a conversation then this is your spot.

One of a small set of dive bars on Coronado. On this side of the island this is the best choice for solid service and prices while being in the heart of things.

Danny’s is one of my favorite bars in Coronado! Great service and reasonably priced drinks. Quin was great, she dealt with an annoying customer better than I would have.
