Food and service were good. You are greeted with a basket of tortilla chips and salsa. Place is clean. Parking lot was full, yet restaurant was only 1/2 full. Restaurant is quite religious with a person quoting the Bible via megaphone.

For some reason, today, which has never happened before. I ordered the enchiladas, and they were super salty. I had someone else try them to make sure it wasn’t me. And sure enough, it had too much salt. We received the complimentary chips and salsa, and the chips were stale, unfortunately, which never happened until that day. I also ordered ponchos, which were great. I also ordered avocado, which was also fresh and delicious. Must have been an off day today for them. But, we are still coming back because their food is always fresh and delicious.

Wasn’t there for long but the food was good. I had the carne guisada plate and she had the caldo. Caldo was exceptional, big serving, excellent taste, my plate standard. Tortillas were kinda hard. Would still go back.

Ordered fajita plate. Obviously the fajitas were not cooked fresh, blah. Didn’t get the charro beans even when I asked again when the food was delivered. Didn’t get the side dish of salad/guacamole/pico. Didn’t ever get water when I asked as my glass was, and had been, empty.
Worst ever. Will not return and this used to be one of my fav spots.

Food was delicious.. It being my 1st time here .. The oatmeal was good .. Didn’t look brown like at other restaurants I’ve eaten at. It had some cinnamon sticks inside. It came with a side of brown sugar and some raisins.

First time here. The place is small but comfortable. We started out the the choriqueso which the served with flour tortillas. It was very good but wish it had been corn tortillas instead. I had the 3 beef corn tortilla tacos which came with rice and beans. The beef needed salt in my opinion. The rice and beans were excellent. My wife had the caldo the res. She said the caldo was bland at best. The piece of meat they gave her had a lot of cartilage. Before I forget to mention the iced tea was great.

Have been going to Dannys for years and always loved the Botana. We ordered a 2 botana for 4 which would equal for 8 people. Those botanas were for 2 people each! Cost was $61 each Botana so paid about $120 plus tax. We all ate 1 taco each, that is a complete steal! Cant believe they would do that! Had to come here becuz Taco Ole was closed!

4-25-25 First visit today at lunch time. As we sat we were given chips and salsa. Both were hand made, and the salsa was some of the freshest we have ever had. Wife said it was so good she would be happy to return and just have chips and salsa. She ordered Liver and Onions, which came with mashed potatoes and gravy, steamed vegetables and toast. She said the L&O and potatoes and gravy was all really good, the vegies were ok, but the carrots could have been cooked longer. In the middle of the meal we were offered a small bowl of soup each, that should have come before the meal, but they were still making it. We said yes and let it cool some. It had carrots zucchini and elbow macaroni. The soup was also good. I ordered 2 Enchiladas & 1 Chili Cheese Burrito, which came with rice and beans. All was good, except for one edge of the burrito was hard/crunchy.
The only thing I felt was off was around noon, a woman came in off the street with a bullhorn in hand, and began reading from the bible. There was Mexican music playing overhead, and everyone continued their conversations, so it seemed as if no-one cared for her being there. It was an unnecessary interruption to an otherwise nice lunch.

After I call and let them knw they forgot to put the butter and syrup for my wife’s pancakes, all she could say was I’m sorry, not even a “would you like to come back for them” or any attempt to fix it or make it right . (Im across the x way at the hospital) Very poor service.
