My only complaints are the bar tender that day told a customer that she didn’t drink, so wasn’t familiar with the alcohol she was selling (or trying to) and she ignored us and helped some men that were there instead. I feel with the right staff this place would be the best. I am not sure if that bar tender is still there or not. Also, the women’s bathroom needs better lighting. I have terrible vision and the pink or red or whatever color light it was, was too dim so I could barely see. It gave me a very uneasy feeling being ducked off in the back corner. Besides those two things, this place is awesome! Give it a shot!
Best food in BR!
The atmosphere is really nice
Everyone is really friendly
They have a GREAT selection of just about everything you could want really
The roast beef po’boy was decent but not great, and the fries were undercooked. The kitchen helper/sandwich maker looked irritated every time he came out of the kitchen, which didn’t add much to the atmosphere.
The first Old Fashioned I received was the color of a Salty Dog—definitely not what an Old Fashioned should look like. When we asked about it, another bartender told us they were out of several items and that “this is how she makes them.” After about twelve minutes, we were then told the pork chop sandwich we ordered—one of the specials they had posted just a couple of hours earlier—was actually unavailable.
My roast beef sandwich was just okay. My husband ordered the Reuben, but the bread was burnt. He ended up eating it anyway because his sandwich came out much later than mine, and we had already waited long enough.
To top it off, the receipt had suggested tips of 200% and 250% at the bottom, which felt very strange considering the overall experience.
Unfortunately, the food and the service both missed the mark for us. I don’t think we’ll be returning. Very disappointed.
If I’m going to drive out of my way to eat here, it better be spectacular, especially with all the hype
For the reviews online, I thought this would be a good place to grab a drink and some food for our date. Obviously we failed!
She needs to be evaluated
