You have to go to this place. It is absolutely beautiful and their menu is incredible. I had to come and have the blackened chicken pasta but they have about 5000 other things I wanna try and don’t even get me started on the desserts. This is an American diner lovers‘s dream oh my God I’m going to come here and try the fried pickles.
I’m gonna try the pastrami sandwich. I’m gonna try everything that makes me gain literally 5000 pounds because I’m middle aged and I’m already fat… This place is incredible.

Where do I start with Dannys? The entire staff is just beyond amazing but if you get graced with Trinity, Kathy, Kathy or Kendal the stars have aligned and you have just hit the jackpot pot in customer service. Then we get to the food. Ive never had a bad thing here. Not 1. Ive been coming for at least 25 years. I might recommend the mahtzoball soup, pastrami dip, Monte Christo, Wendy’s special with a sidjust. au jus for dipping and finally the open face turkey sandwich. But seriously everything here is amazing. The dessert arr beyond too. Try them all, but leave the eclairs for me.

I plotted my course leaving San Diego heading to Paso Robles and this place hit at the perfect spot just before closing and it didn’t disappoint. I had a pastrami sandwich with fries and they had one huge slice of chocolate cake that I just couldn’t leave behind. I really wish I had gotten there a little earlier so I could have sampled some other tasty treats. I will be stopping in on my next trip south.

Danny’s did the catering for our afternoon memorial service and delivered beautiful and plentiful fruit and pastry platters! I was very happy with their service!

Nice Jewish jelly style type diner with breakfast anytime. Perfect time of the year to enjoy their famous tasty fresh kreplach soup. It’s difficult to get liver and onions just right but the liver salad side with bagel chips is not to be missed (be sure comes with sliced red onion!). I’m originally from the East Coast, so I’m very glad Ventura has this Jewish-style deli.

This is just what you expect from a deli. The food is very good and the service is great. I had the French toast, which was delicious. The only issue I had was dirty utensils.

On a recent getaway from Phoenix, my wife and I had some spare time and discovered this delightful diner. We decided to give it a try for dinner and were really glad we did. The place has a classic diner ambiance, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. It’s clearly a favorite among the locals, which we took as a great sign. The meals were excellent; I had the Shepherd’s Pie, which I thoroughly enjoyed, while my wife had a salmon-topped salad with what she claimed were the best sweet potato fries she’s ever tasted. I’d definitely recommend this diner for a meal, and I find myself wishing we lived closer so we could become regulars.

We’re really grateful to find a local restaurant in Ventura has vegan trays on their menu! It’s so hard in Ventura to find Restaurants serving vegan food. It has a great menu covering all selections as well.

In a word: inedible. Literally the worst food I’ve had. The so called chopped liver wasn’t at all the way it should be; instead, it had what looked and tasted like diced burnt onion skin mixed in and the flavor and texture were way off. Absolutely nothing like a NY deli.
The whitefish should’ve been thrown out days ago or fed to the seagulls. Filled with bones, dried out and disgusting. Thought this was whitefish salad which made it even more disappointing.
Heck even the pickle wasn’t good which says a lot.
Staff were unfriendly, unprofessional and unsanitary. The guy with black nail polish blew his nose, threw the tissue in the recycling bin and without washing his hands or using hand sanitizer, he handled another customer’s food.
The entire experience was pretty terrible. The baked goods however, did look good. I should’ve gotten one of those.
