I’ve been coming to Danny’s Bagels in Lynbrook for a while, and ever since the new owners took over, the customer service has really gone downhill. Between the barrier setup, the way customers are treated, and the overall vibe, it’s honestly disappointing. The staff seems uninterested and unwelcoming, which was never the case before. I truly hope they work on improving their customer service skills, because this place used to be a go-to spot.

I live nearby and this used to be my go to. The last time I was there with my two young kids the server was very rude, and at one point threw down the bag of bagels because I asked for a separate bag for plain bagels. I told the cashier (who I had seen many times before), and like someone else here mentioned he didn’t seem to care and just rushed me out. Very disappointing and won’t be back.

Toasted egg everything bagel with lox spread.
Bagels used to be fresh and doughy. The bagels recently taste stale and bland. Prices insane and service horrible. Counter person more interested in his phone than his customers.

Horrible Experience. Was overcharged. Customer service is nonexistent. The teller was on his phone. The new ownership is doing a poor job at keeping customers who have been going there for years. Would never go again. 0/10 would not recommend.

Their customer service is shit!!! I don’t know what would it take for them to have good customer service! I thought it was language barrier but it’s just a lack of customer service. Who argues back and forth with customers. Not even the manager I’m assuming at the cash register intervene like a manager would do as a REPRESENTATION of the company/store. He was just trynna shut me up and get me out.

Poppy seed bagel (scooped out) with extra cream cheese & scallion please.
The best around. Nice chew, crust. All serious kinds of bagels – no blueberry nonsense. Just good bagels, heros, sandwiches and breakfast. Sometimes lines are to the door with proper social distancing. Fast services.

I am writing a new review for Danny’s Bagels, and unfortunately, it’s not a positive one. I used to come here twice a week and had them rated at 5 stars because I loved the bagels and the service. However, after their recent price hike, I can no longer recommend this place. They’ve raised prices by about 60%, with a toasted bagel and cream cheese now costing over $6. I understand that prices need to increase over time, but what was once a competitively priced location has now become one of the most expensive in the area.
The bagels were decent, but the dramatic price increase just doesn’t make it worth it anymore. I used to enjoy coming here regularly, but now, I won’t be coming back. It’s a shame because I truly used to love this spot, but I can’t justify paying these prices for bagels anymore. I have already found a more reasonably priced shop.
EDIT: I’m updating my review to respond to the owner’s comment. While I appreciate the reply, I have to point out that the information provided is misleading. On Danny’s Bagels’ own website, the link for online ordering (the same one on the QR codes on your order bags) lists a plain bagel with cream cheese at $5.89. Toasting adds an extra $0.45, bringing the total to $6.34 before tax. This used to be $3.89 before tax just a few weeks ago, I have receipts to prove it.
I only place orders online, so I’m not sure if your in-store prices differ, but it seems disingenuous to dismiss this review by referring to a lower price that doesn’t reflect what your online customers are paying.

I went for the first time today to buy some bagels. Im so happy I did. This will be my new spot for bagels. You can tell they are fresh. They were soft and delicious.. Price for bagels is reasonable. I haven’t tried the food but they offer a wide variety from hot bagels, sandwiches, and burgers. I will be coming back. A huge plus is they speak Spanish too!

These are the third owners. They raise their prices every day the sun rises. They have absolutely no manners. They never say thanks or have a good day. Students from Malverne HS are there from 11-2 and make it difficult. I went in on 7/21 for a flat bagel with tuna, a can of Pepsi and a small bag of chips. $15.

Love the bagels BUT the veg cream cheese needs help! Its just scallions..you do realize how overpowering the taste is. If I wanted that ..I would order the scallion cream cheese. For the love of god take out the scallions! Put in green and yellow peppers. And dont try the radish trick that’ll just make it worse.
