I ordered a sushi takeaway from Daniel Sushi and it was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The tempura pieces were still warm and crunchy, and the salmon was rich and buttery, exactly how good sushi should be.
You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients because the freshness stood out straight away. It was one of the best sushi takeaways I have had, and I will definitely be ordering again.

A few days ago, I arrived at Daniel Sushi with a group of friends for a birthday meal under the surname ‘Pascua’. I was very excited to see what they had to offer as there was a lovely lady that greeted us, showed us to our table, advised us on the menu and took our order. When the platters arrived, I was amazed by the appearance of the sushi and I left feeling that I had thoroughly enjoyed my meal.
However, roughly 2 hours after eating there, I began experiencing excruciating stomach pain, weakness, nausea, loss of appetite and fever. I believe that eating at Daniel Sushi had given me food poisoning and after discussing this with my friends I discovered that Luke had also experienced this and much worse.
Although as it was only 2/8 people that had experienced this illness, I’m led to believe that we ate the majority of the fish sushi rolls. I wonder if Daniel Sushi does not keep record of how long their fish is stored or if they measure the temperature of the fish before it’s served or cook the rice fresh (as reheating really does cause illness). I’d like to know more detail about this (especially as they are confident of their 5 star food hygiene rating ). As it is a small business I’m aware that standards can fall below the radar when they are not aware that a hygiene inspection is due and unlike larger businesses they are less likely to face severe consequences. So maybe they do cut corners just to save a little bit of money…
Honestly, I would only go to Daniel Sushi again to talk to the server or enjoy the green tea and the music which put me in a meditative state.

The restaurant was dead quiet when we walked in on a Friday evening, which wasn’t great to see. Waiter was friendly and attentive although did feel like an inconvenience towards the end of the night when the chefs came out and seemed waiting for us to leave. We ordered one of the set menus which was really lovely and although there was quite a few ‘courses’ of food and it was of really great quality I don’t think it warranted £38 a head. The food was really tasty and it was great to attempt to eat with chop sticks. However if you want something to fill you up, I would suggest going elsewhere..

I am normally not a fan of sushi but after tasting some sushi I thought they where rediculicly good. The duck teriyaki is also very good and fits in like a glove. Would come again.
