Having lived in Bavaria and then Austria, this is the real deal. Eric, our server, was fantastic – polite, enthusiastic, helpful with recommendations, and clearly loves his job. We both had the schnitzel and I started with the goat cheese salad per Eric’s recommendation. The veal was tender and the breading was perfect. It came with lingonberry (preiselbeere in German) which is always a treat. You know it’s authentic when the table next to you is speaking German. The cheese cake was a great way to finish a memorable meal. We were just passing through Orlando but will stop again to check out the progress on the decor.

The food is great and service is top notch! My grandparents made traditional German food and this reminded me of my grandmother cooking. The pork tenderloin is fork tender, the schnitzel is yummy and the mushroom gravy…….. wow! The servers we pleasant and attentive. Just like Europe the will wait for you to ask for the check. I found this to be a fun authentic experience and we will be back!

What a gem this place was to find. Happened to be located near my hotel so I swung in one night…and I’ve been back each night since. The staff are awesome, and the food Daniel is slinging is incredible. Everything is made in house. The six week dry aged ribeye was killer, but somehow the rendered beef fat chimichurri still took it to the next level. This was the first time I’ve ever truly had a condiment complement and add to the main dish. Unbelievable! I did my best to hide my shame as I scraped every last bit of it from the dish after devouring the steak. I went with the creamed spinach as a side and even this has it’s own tweaks. Same goes for the following evening when I dove into the onion soup. Best I’ve had. The beers are German so of course they are fantastic. Outstanding spirit selection…and I know I mentioned it once already, but the staff and the service are great. Such friendly and welcoming folks. This needs to be on your radar.

Came here for my dad’s bday. We got stuck on the highway w car issues and were late to our reservation by an hour. The host waitress and manager were so caring and attentive and kind they got us right in the checked on our wellbeing from being stuck they gave a free unsolicited dessert (which was amazing) the chef came out and my dad shook his hand for the amazing genuine German food! This is a memory we will never forget and will come back and recommend this place to everyone!!!! Come here!!!

Finally, a German spot on the west side of Central Florida! The food was fantastic and brought back memories of dining in Munich—truly authentic, well-executed dishes. Our server was extremely attentive, making the entire visit so enjoyable. We’ve already started planning our next trip back. What a wonderful addition to the area!

The wife and I decided to give it a try tonight and I am glad we did, except for the fact that I now am so overly stuffed.
We started with the onion soup, very tasty. My only complaint would be it needed more onions, but overall very good.
Afterwards, we shared the goat cheese salad. What an amazing salad, the fried/seared goat cheese was incredible.
For the entree, I ordered the veal schnitzel with mashed potatoes and the mushroom gravy (holy cow) it was delicious and I brought half of it home for tomorrow. My wife ordered mushroom risotto, very good flavor. She thought it was a little salty, I didn’t think so.
Deserts…Black Forest cake and apple streusel. Both were excellent.
We will definitely return.
It is a little pricier, but the food is homemade and fresh and the service was excellent. You pay for what you get.
It’s nice to have something a little different in town.

Overall experience 10/10! Highly recommend. Our encounter here was phenomenal from beginning to end. I would recommend making a reservation just in case. Went for my husbands birthday and the staff was so attentive and provided exceptional hospitality and service. We enjoyed everything and their Black Forest cake is to die for! Marc was such a great server.

Chef Daniel Gabor, formerly of Schmankerl Stub’n in downtown Orlando, brings his talent to Alpine Bar & Grill in Ocoee. The restaurant offers a blend of traditional German classics and Alpine-inspired dishes.
The schnitzels are authentic and well-prepared. Other favorites include gulasch, spaetzle, and apple strudel. We especially enjoyed the pretzel and brie appetizer. The food quality is outstanding, with careful preparation and a commitment to flavor. There are also many specialty cocktails and German Beers to choose from as well. Yes. You can get a Hugo!!!
Chef Gabor has expanded the menu with fresh twists and Alpine specialties like Ricotta Spinach Ravioli and Riesling Chicken. The atmosphere is warm and inviting.
Alpine Bar & Grill is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic German and Alpine comfort food. Chef Gabor has brought a taste of Europe to Ocoee/Windermere!! Thank you for making a quality, German, dining experience so convenient for the West side of Central Florida. We will return often.

We had the most amazing time at DGAB&G tonight!!! It’s been on my restaurant bucket list for months and it did not disappoint! Great vibe…unique menu…impressive drink list. Classy without being pretentious. Everything we ordered was delicious! The potato sourdough bread was hot and fluffy and a must-have for bread lovers. Tonight’s specialty butter was chimichurri and it really complimented the bread well. The onion soup was rich without being too heavy. I was sad that I had to share it with my date. 😉 I had the mushroom risotto and it was piping hot and full of a variety of mushrooms. Best mushroom risotto I’ve ever had! My date had the burger with French fries. His burger was cooked exactly as he ordered it. The fries were hot and cut almost to steak fry thickness. But the prize tonight goes to the Black Forest cake. The other reviews I read said to leave room and I’m so glad I listened! It was the best chocolate cake I have ever had. The cherries in the frosting were chef’s kiss perfection! We topped off the meal with a cortado with a shot of Kahlua. Heather was our server and she was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of our questions patiently and thoroughly. She allowed us to space out our courses so we could take our time and really enjoy the experience. The manager was also fabulous! He stopped by our table a few times to check in with us and chat about the restaurant and upcoming events they are planning. All in all, we had one of the best dining experiences I have ever had and I can’t wait to go back! DGAB&G is my new favorite Ocoee restaurant!
