I just had to give a shout-out to D’Angelo’s because the service and food were so on point. Every time I go, the staff is super friendly and patient, and they actually make your food with care, not just rushed and thrown together. Especially when Kayla is working! She’s always so friendly, welcoming, and makes sure everything is done right!!

Placed an online order and checked in at the counter. The girl working said it wasn’t ready yet and that she’d call my name when it was. Sat and waited as she called other names. AN HOUR went by and my name still wasn’t called. I go back up to the counter to check and my order was sitting there. I ask the same girl how long it’s been ready for and she says “a while”. I ask why she didn’t call my name when she said she would and she just stared at me blankly and didn’t say anything. No sorry, no accommodations, no accountability. Good service is hard to come by and you certainly can’t find it at Dangelos.

My wife phoned in our order and then went to pick it up. She felt ignored in the waiting area. One person eventually tried to help her and she was able to complete the purchase. She did not leave a tip which is unusual for both of us. We will often tip something even given bad service.
Anyway she brought our food home. Her sandwich was okay, but I was quite disappointed in the lobster roll. The bread was badly burnt. Someone really should have noticed before wrapping it to go. The sandwich was $26.99 which is a lot of money to treat the end product haphazardly. We did have a coupon, so that my wife’s sandwich was free with the purchase of a more expensive sandwich. Please see picture below.

Great location, clean dining room and kitchen. Fast & friendly service..my cashier Debbie was super chill and my order was out pretty quick. Lobster roll was absolutely delicious. Overall a great most recent visit!!

I thought I was going to give a lower score than a 4/5 but I just can’t, the sandwich didn’t have many flaws and it was very moist. It was a good size for a small and stuffed really well (unlike other sandwiches that I’ve had here).
The turkey was tender and all components together hit the spot. I would recommend adding grilled onions, it elevated the sandwich a little.
And that brown gravy! I poured it on every bite.
My only gripe is the bread tasted a little stale.

I came to the Smithfield D’Angelo very frequently and each time they deliver the fastest, friendliest service there is. I usually enjoy their sandwiches and already left a good review of 5 stars but this previous visit made me come back and lower my rating to a 3. My girlfriend always orders extra crispy bacon on her BLT and no lettuce and gets it well made 9/10 times but this time the bacon was barely cooked and the tomatoes were the ends so she didn’t eat it since the only 2 ingredients she wanted got messed up. Whoever made the sandwich needs to be fired, I’m sorry. How can a BLT be messed up? We come here so we don’t have to have Sub-Par Subway…
