Honestly, we just didn’t like their sushi that much. A particular thing that they did here but I never had anywhere else was thick pieces of cucumber in a sushi roll. For any other place I’ve been to, they have been cut into thin strips with no skin. Here it was one big chunk with skin still on it and it ruins the texture of the overall roll for me.
We had Rainbow Roll, Chicken Teriyaki Roll, Feisty Sisters Roll, and I think Vegan Volcano Roll.
Timing felt kind of slow considering we seemed like the only two customers in their at the time. They may get online orders more than sit downs though.

As a frequent and sometimes solo traveler, I’m always hunting for spots that make eating out on my own in a new town feel like a little fun adventure. Dang Good Sushi was perfect.
It was easy enough to find my way there with Waze, and there was plenty of convenient free lot parking out front of the shopping strip in Trinity, FL that houses this cute little counter service spot. I went in for dinner, was promptly greeted, took my spot at the counter, and ordered the “IDGAF” option, where the chef makes whatever he’s feeling like. I got Literal Art in return, so I made this humble attempt at recreating it in watercolor.
It tasted amazing, for the record. The blowtorched onion crispies were an unexpected, fun touch, and the chef and hostess were both very kind and chill and worked around a couple of dietary restrictions graciously.
The service was fast, but not rushed. Genuinely friendly, but never excessively chatty. I felt welcomed and treated to something really special.
If you’re looking for creative sushi that tastes great with awesome service, this place is it. Looking forward to returning when I’m back in town to see what IDGAF roll the chef makes next!

Dang Good Sushi lived up to its name. My wife and I had an incredible experience at Dang Good Sushi! The Crab Rangoon Egg Rolls, which were a special menu item for the night, and a perfect start to the meal. The F the New Year Roll was flavored and the presentation was outstanding. The I Don’t Give a F@&!% roll could be described as the everything, but the kitchen sink roll. It was a bold and delicious choice. The creativity in their rolls and appetizers truly sets this sushi spot apart. Highly recommend!

I’ve been eating sushi for over 30 years. It’s my favorite food on this planet! And let me be clear: the Dangs have gotten this sushi thing down. They have truly mastered the classics, the cools, and even the vegan eats! The fried avocado is to die for, and their poke bowls are so fresh. The service is spectacular, personable, and fast. I can’t recommend them enough! There’s truly something for everyone in your family, even if they don’t eat seafood or meat at all. They’re so kind with accomodations and truly want to make sure everyone eats dang good.

Dang Good Sushi is just that. The name says it all. I have literally been here 3 times in the past week and one of them was my very first time! I brought my husband here today, and needless to say, we are both hooked! We have officially found our favorite sushi spot. From the endless creative choices on the menu to the cool vibes from the restaurant, this place will definitely have you coming back like I have. And it definitely helps when the crew that works there are genuinely good people. Oh, and side note, I am 5 months pregnant and they are more than accommodating to my specific needs and cravings! It’s super cool that they have cooked rolls as well as a vegan menu too. I can’t recommend this place enough! Go try it now!

Had an amazing experience at Dang Good Sushi. I had wanted to try them out for awhile after seeing them recommended on one of my Facebook mom groups and following their page. I live 25 minutes away though so I never made the time to go until recently but wow!! Everything was absolutely delicious. We were lucky enough to go in on a day the owner was working. He made the rolls for us and had some great recommendations. Everything about the menu is super unique and everyone working there is so nice and makes you feel right at home. There are a lot of sushi places near me but I will definitely be making the drive back over to DGS! I’m still craving the Surf n’ Turf roll

Let me preface by saying :: I’m originally from Chicago. While I’ve loved the transition to life in Florida (specifically Pasco Co.), the one thing I can say with confidence that I miss most is the FOOD!
Most places around here fall short. It’s been a long time since I’ve been truly excited about a place to order from. A “foodie” spot!
Heard so many good things while they had only the food truck, but sadly it was difficult to plan ordering depending where they were at and conflicting with scheduling.
Now they’re also in brick and mortar and we FINALLY had our chance to fall in L VE!
Quality, Taste, Ambiance … can’t be beat!!
Observing the way staff interacts with customers, you’re not just someone ordering – you’re valued and appreciated….maybe even part of the family.
Every single person is consistently working to keep things moving, keep patrons feeling welcomed, cleaning, rolling thousands of rolls. You can feel the passion behind everything they do.
The food is unmatched to anything in this area and I’d even say rivals most sushi joints back home! Anyone from Chicago knows the weight behind this statement!!
FRESH, clean taste. Unique combinations you wouldn’t have thought of yourself but the flavors mingle in your mouth effortlessly as if the ingredients were born specifically for that roll.
ACCURACY is something many places miss these days. I don’t know how many times I’ve left with incorrect/missing items – but I’ve never had an issue here! & believe me, with their opening week when things probably SHOULD go wrong, they still operated top notch!
I’m so happy and excited to have found this place. Reading their story on their Facebook page just seals the deal personally. Seeing people enrich their lives and the lives around them in their community….it makes me PROUD to spend my money there. (and I might add their prices are more than fair for the portions and quality you get!)

First time visiting, long time sushi lover. Dang Good Sushi is top of the line, fellow sushi lovers. The owners, family name is Dang (cute, right?) are a great young couple & run a meticulously maintained biz.
The sashimi will melt in your mouth, as it should. The rolls were beautifully displayed, but so “dang big” they required more than one bite! Dang uses the finest ingredients to achieve this level of quality sushi & sashimi. It’s quite obvious to a sushi lover. I ordered (3) pieces, Sashimi, times 2, (6) piece total & was full. No salad, no clump of white rice with a skimpy piece of sashimi on top.
☆☆☆☆☆ THIS WAS ALL TOP QUALITY RAW SEAFOOD, perfectly done! So dang good, pun intended ☆☆☆☆☆
~ The table service was outstanding, I was greeted with a personal, “non-robotic” welcome, quite rare these days.
~ Yep, Dang Good Sushi is damn good stuff. I will return & feel they just may be my new destination for Japanese cuisine.
~ I highly recommend you give them a try and post your experience.

First time trying this cute sushi place and after hearing so much about it, it definitely lived up to the hype!!! Atmosphere is pleasant, music is upbeat, owner making sure you are doing OK and the food was so flavorful. Ordered the Fried dumplins to start and wow nice pop of flavor, then had the Thai steak roller and jalapeño popper roll (with tuna) and the steak was tender and the Tuna was fresh!!! Definitely a place to try and we will be back!!

We had an awesome experience at Dang Good!! We’ve been to their food truck and have been following them on social media for months, dying to try their actual restaurant!! It was even better than we thought it could be! We got the I Don’t Give a F@$&! roll and I can’t say enough good things about it. The chef comes up with a roll on the spot, and it was full of flavor and just so fresh and delicious!! Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys food!!!
