We buy our bread here regularly, and it’s consistently excellent. This is the best sourdough in the Portland area! Everything we buy is so good – the country sourdough, olive sourdough, walnut sourdough, pita bread, and challah.
The rugelach is a special treat with a cup of coffee.
The bakery is beautiful and very clean, and Dana and the staff are always warm and welcoming. We also used their shipping service, which was great.

I had the opportunity to visit Dana‘s handcrafted breads yesterday. What a wonderful experience all of the sourdough bread looked and smell delicious but I was especially glad that I tried the walnut cranberries sourdough. Dana‘s, in addition to wonderful bread, serves coffee, beer, wine, and ciders. Can’t wait for my next loaf.

Wow, just visited Dana’s today on their first day of soft opening and their bread is amazing. I grabbed the Challah and Slider Buns and these are simply some of the best I’ve had. I also got a plain latte which was very creamy and a chocolate croissant (I don’t think the name of these is croissant but they look like them) and that was delicious as well. Almost toasty, crunchy outside but very soft inside. I’ll definitely be visiting again.

I’ve been searching for such quality breads for YEARS! This morning, Dana made our day with the first delivery of PURE DELICIOUSNESS… In just 7 minutes at 400F, you will get the most crispy from outside and the lightest/fluffiest/most airy buns you have ever tasted. We should have doubled the order because even the crumbs will not make it to Sunday (it’s Friday evening :). Looking forward to exploring other selections and repeating the current ones! THANK YOU!!!

It’s been only 2 weeks since we first discovered Dana’s gems, but they have already made a BIG difference in our lives. My European mother is a different person now, having regained her appetite for food and, with it, for life… And we owe this to Dana and her incredible passion for baking.
