Diviest of the dive bars. It’s held together by the sheer will of the staff and all the lost hopes of a failed night out by some of the more socially awkward Muskies. Food is typical bar fare and excellent. Beer is cold. Alcohol selection is acceptable. The customers are always friendly. It’s a Xavier institution and must be experienced. Oh….and it’s inexpensive.

Dana’s is the classic lesson of “don’t judge a book by its cover.” There is nothing fancy about this place except for the hearts of its employees and patrons. If Xavier is only going to have only one bar- let it be the very essence of the wonderful students and families who create X. Celebrate your victories or drown your sorrows at Dana’s. Surely, you will leave with brighter spirits!

Xavier’s signature college bar. Good drink selection of draft and cans. Decent bar food which was reasonably priced. It does attract a college crowd especially later at night, like 9:30 PM and later. The rest of the time it seems to be filled with locals. The bartenders are really nice.
The man entrance is on the side of the building facing the parking lot, up the wood ramp. I don’t think you can enter from the front of the building by the sidewalk.

Great place to hang out with friends, it is the definition of a dive bar. Atmosphere is all college but the drinks are cheap and the service is decent. The patio is quite large and a great place to gather. The bathroom stalls don’t have a door so plan ahead.

Friendly “dive” atmosphere with killer burgers at a reasonable price. Where else can have 2 tasty burgers topped with fresh ingredients, and fries, and 4 beers for under $30.00. I eat a Muskie burger at least 2 times per week. For some reason I never get tired of them. When I need a quick meal I call in my order and it’s waiting for me.
