Best fried Catfish EVER! The chicken fried chicken is tender, juicy, and crispy all at the same time. I adored Damien’s cabbage, green beans, and yams-I recommend this highly to anyone who wants really good soul food. The staff was super friendly, and Damien came out to speak. It was amazing. I WILL BE BRINGING FRIENDS WHEN I RETURN!

Service like all previous comments was really uncomfortable and rushed. The food on the other hand was great. Bbq plate , candied yams, greens and mashed potatoe sides were all pretty decent and very fresh and hot but the Mac n cheese was just ordinary. Brisket was great and the fried chicken wings were done perfectly. The fried catfish filet was very dry. Their cornbread was also great. Limited drink options and not very clean, although it does get very busy so it’s somewhat understandable.

Lowkey wanna gatekeep this place because they always sell out so fast but this restuarant deserves the praise! All the food is delicious and it gets so hard for me to decide on JUST two sides that come with the entree . You can definitely taste the love and time Damien and his crew put into the food. Feels like when you come home from a long bad day then you see your parent make some hot fresh food on the stove and once you eat it, everything in the world is okay again. Damien is usually busy in the back cooking but if he does come out to greet the guests, he is so hospitable and kind. He would ask how everything taste and make sure you’re having a good time. And don’t forget about the desserts!! His butter cake and cheesecake are so bomb!! The sauce he puts on them is like a pecan toffee caramel. It’s so amazing, it’s dangerous.

Absolutely magnificent! Flavors are bold and delicious! The catfish seasoned to perfection. The shrimp paste socked me in the mouth it’s so good. The Dirty rice perfect. I definitely got treated with my choice today! I’m glad I just stopped in to check them out. Now I’m going to be a regular! ❤️

Had the opportunity to finally try this place today, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience and the food. I ordered the Chicken Wings, mashed potatoes/gravy and mac n cheese. My husband ordered the Fried pork chop basket w/rice/gravy and green beans. We couldn’t come to a Cajun spot and not order the gumbo, so we got that on the side along w/a piece of fried fish for later (the fish didn’t make it home lol).
The service was great, you feel like you’re getting food at your uncles house. It was a warm, home-filled vibe, so much so that we decided to stay and eat in the restaurant opposed from going home.
The prices are reasonable and they don’t nickel and dime you for condiments!!! (Extreme win)
To top off our already great experience, Damian gave us a free punch because it was our first time visiting, and I can’t express to you how refreshing that was; the punch and the gesture. 🙂 I debated on making this review because I want to gatekeep this place bc it’s so special, but it’s too good to keep to myself! If you’re in Dallas-Fort Worth area, it’s definitely worth it!

Terrible! I ordered fish with 2 sides. The fish was very doughy & thin, the yams was not sweet and very soupy. The cabbage tasted like ginger for some reason. The drink was good though! 2/10 wouldn’t recommend

Don’t play wit it! Best damn food in town. I had smoked chicken, ribs, green beans, and dirty rice at a housewarming on Saturday. Went and got some smothered okra with drumettes, sausage and shrimp with a deluxe, fried boneless pork chop and wing on the side on Sunday! 10/10
