The food had great flavor! The grilled cutlet was tender and juicy, other party members said the chicken and waffles tasted good, but the wait times for said food were very long (got seated at approx 2:45 and as of 3:55 I’m waiting for the check to come back). Drinks came out quick, but waiter disappeared after and took a while to return to take our food order. Despite tasting good, all 3 of our meals were room temperature or cooler. The waffles were cold. Said the reason for the room temp food was because I’d ordered the grilled cutlet and it takes significantly longer, but that cutlet just arrived warm, not hot. I feel it was left sitting in the window for a bit…
Sent the waffles back and they said they’d get a remake out soon but it took about 20 minutes.
A note on the service- 2 star rating is largely due to the waiter, often standing around idly, had to be called over to order our food after drinks, nice individual but not very attentive to our needs. Prioritized the very large party around the corner instead.
The manager definitely made up for it though- he was so understanding and not only replaced the cold chicken and waffles dish but also comped the meal because the replacement waffle took ~20 minutes to come out.

I had a really nice experience at the restaurant the other day. My server was incredibly friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. I was also pleased with how quickly our food arrived, and it was served nice and hot. The only thing was that the mac and cheese tasted a little different than what I expected. We were seated immediately Overall, it was a very positive experience.

Everything was great! The waitress was nice. The food was sooo good. I had the dwelling roosters. My wings were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I chose the vanilla-almond and maple-pecan shmear. I have no complaints.

I was disappointed. I ordered shrimp and grits and the bowl was full of grease. There wasn’t any flavor and I couldn’t even doctor it up with salt and pepper. The manager was very accommodating and the waitress was very nice about it. I’m thinking they also need to change their grease because the chicken was super dark. The shmears were good and so was their lemonades. Maybe I will try again for breakfast or lunch and see if the food is any better.

My visit at Dame’s Chicken & Waffles was great! The food was complimented by the service and atmosphere provided. I felt as if I experiencing a homemade meal with the family literally and figuratively! The pricing was affordable and reasonable in regards to the menus choices leaving me with financial and dietary satisfaction. My peers enjoyed the wealth of menu items leaving them feeling complete with choices and a variety of foods to try! My peers and I enjoyed this experience meaningfully.

I got chicken & waffles. I asked the waiter for my chicken to be extra crispy and it was wet & soggy. The waffle wasn’t hot or crispy. It was soggy as well. The cheese grits were okay. even though they only sprinkled shredded cheese on top. The only thing I enjoyed was the strawberry lemonade. Won’t be coming back.

I set my expectations too high, based on what I was hearing from some regional people. Wasn’t bad, I would say mid at best. Their saving grace was the shrimp and grits very flavorful just a bit heavy handed on the salt but good. The waffle was ok, the chicken looked like it was over cooked by a lot but it wasn’t, just old grease. With that said I could still taste the potential of the chicken if the grease was cleaner, the chicken would be a banger. The mac-cheese was different couldn’t figure out what the seasonings were, it wasn’t bad. The squash texture felt as if it had been in a warmer for a while. Overall, the staff greeted me as soon as I walked through the door, and was quick to take my order. Wait time for my order was right at 8 minutes which is impressive, but for this type of spot I would have expected longer if the orders were cooked to order. Nice location but no parking. I would recommend Dame’s, it’s not bad but they definitely could improve food quality.

What ever they’re adding to it needs to be removed from the recipe. Service again was very prompt, nice and courteous.

I had a wonderful experience dining at this restaurant. We were seated immediately, and the staff made us feel welcome from the start. Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The food arrived quickly, served hot and fresh, which really added to the enjoyment. While the mac and cheese tasted a little different than I expected, everything else was excellent and exceeded my expectations. Overall, the combination of great service, quick seating, and delicious food made this a very positive visit.

The main drawback of this experience was the wait. It was just a party of 2, myself and my boyfriend, and it was our first time visiting. When we got there we were told it would be a wait of 20-30 minutes (no problem). However, it ended up taking 45 minutes to be seated. Then, once we were sat, it took almost an hour for our food to come out. Truly, it was about 55 minutes of waiting for the food. Yet, they were sending out door dash orders quickly and regularly. The excessive waiting unfortunately really dampened our experience.
That said, the food was very good and I don’t have any complaints there. Still, it’s unlikely we’ll go back in person after our experience.
