Dam Dogs in Rockford is such a fun little spot for a quick bite! The hot dogs are loaded with creative toppings and full of flavor, whether you stick with a classic or try one of their specialty options. Service is typically fast and friendly, and the casual vibe makes it an easy stop when you’re downtown. Seating can be limited inside, but grabbing your food and walking over by the dam makes it even better. Great prices, tasty food, and a perfect local stop when you’re in Rockford!

Small eatery, but great dogs. My husband had The Rockford and I had a chili dog with onions and tomato. Not a lot of space to sit so we took our food outside and enjoyed the view.
Parking can be rough, but the staff are very friendly and helpful and the hosts were yummy.

Thank you having vegan friendly options, the veggie dog is delicious (I recommend it with shredded cheese, pickles, and mustard). Fast and friendly service, my hot dog was under $4. Convenient for on the go or dining in, and the back exit opens up to the picturesque dam area.

Stopped here during a bike ride with my nephew. Menu had so many variations. I got the Rockford and it was amazing! The toppings were piled up and somehow i was still able to eat it without it entirely falling apart. I’ve enjoyed Yesterdogs, but this was even better. Was not able to get pictures as my nephew ate his up before I could get to my phone! 🙂

Hot dogs are great, the customer service could be better. When I went there today, the older woman working the register just stared at me when I walked in and didn’t even say hi. And then when I walked up to place my order she didn’t say anything either, just stared at me until I said what I wanted. It was quite awkward. What made it weirder was two guys walked in after me and she greeted them and was way nicer, and asking them what they wanted. I guess she just didn’t feel like giving good customer service to me in particular.

Warning: Credit Card surcharge applied to orders without any large signage/warning from Cashier. A 12% surcharge and a tip prompt for a fast food establishment is a bit much, no? They did refund my 50 cents, bumping this review.
Either account for credit card fees in pricing or have detailed signage explaining your protocols aside from a business card-sized note.
