Walk past the glass door and you would be greeted by Sicilian hospitality by the chef who takes feeding people well very seriously. Set up as a trattoria, you get hearty italian fares with portions that are great value for money. The food was obviously prepared with love and great respect for the ingredients and the diners. If you are lucky to be the last diners of the night, you earn the privilege to enjoy chef’s 3 decades of interesting cooking career and experiences. He was so warm, he walked our momma to the toilet while he asked us to continue with our meals. Would definitely return there if we return to Dublin.
The tomato-based pastas have clearly distinctive tastes, showing us that the chef has put in thoughts as he worked with different ingredients. He was generous with the fresh ingredients that he used. Also, make sure u make space in our stomachs for his home made tiramisu. It was undoubtably one of the best I have eaten with each layers retaining his shape while their tastes melting well in the mouth.
Just a heads up that u should be willing to enjoy dinner at a leisurely pace and the company with you. Quality comes with time.

We booked dinner for two and were absolutely delighted with our first visit. The waitress was lovely and very attentive, which made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious and generous in portion. We even had the chance to meet the chef at the end of the evening, who was incredibly kind. As big fans of Italian food, we’re so happy to have found this authentic hidden gem and will definitely be coming back.

The owner runs the whole restaurant by himself, cooking and ordering food and entertaining guests, and the store is also decorated with things from his friends, especially a lot of red wine bottle caps decorate the walls and lights, the boss is also very talkative, asking us questions from time to time, how is it eating, and thinking that I have a small stomach and doubting that I can’t eat the tiramisu we ordered hahaha, he said he wanted to finish it, and it took him three hours to make it. A store with a very personal character and care, just like the owner who runs it.
By the way this creamy seafood risotto is really good, the saltiness is just right, not sweet, you will get tired of eating too much, but you will eat very comfortably and happily, it is a suitable choice for eating alone or with friends.

Eating at Dall’Italiano was the first time I experienced authentic Italian cuisine outside of Italy. To say the food was delicious would be an understatement! It truly is a dining experience that everyone needs to experience for themselves.
I had Calamari as a starter and Linguini with prawns as my main course and couldn’t have chosen a nicer combo to enjoy. Both were cooked so well and tasted better than I could have hoped. I finished off my meal with a dessert (Tiramisu) and coffee, which tasted so good together!
To top it all off, the owner was super nice, informative and spoke at length about how much time and effort he puts into the dishes he prepares, which was clearly evident from the moment I tasted the food on offer. Having the owner and chef on hand like this was an added bonus and something that made this an unforgettable experience.
I can’t wait to go back and work my way through the menu so I can experience everything this amazing restaurant has to offer.

Everything is perfect, from a lovely warm atmosphere to a very welcoming owner who is also the chef, the food is delicious and very well made with love, tasty selection of wines available, followed by a lovely tiramisu dessert. Amazing experience if you’re looking for a comforting meal with fresh ingredients that is not too expensive 100% recommend you visit this restaurant.
