Stopped by around 12noon on a Saturday, and with very few tables taken, we were seated upon arrival; however, when we left an hour later, there was a waiting line at the door. Service was good. The olive oil with balsamic vinegar served as an appetizer with a few pieces of bread was an absolute minimal amount which was quite surprising. Food was served hot and was tasty but the quality did not match the high prices.
The Pappardelle Bolognese was good but nothing really special and definitely not worth the menu price. The Shrimp Florentine was also good but the shrimp was a bit over-cooked and not as tender as expected – this dish was also a bit short in quantity for the price paid.
Pricey for average quantity and quality of food served so we will not be back.

A Perfect Poulsbo Lunch – Coffee, Clams, and Pure Comfort

Dalla Baia is an absolute gem in the heart of Poulsbo, and my recent lunch here reminded me exactly why small coastal towns produce some of the most memorable dining experiences. From the moment I sat down, the atmosphere felt calm, inviting, and thoughtfully curated – the kind of place where you can actually exhale and enjoy the moment.

I started with an Americano, and let me tell you: it was exceptional. Smooth, rich, and full-bodied without drifting into bitterness. It was one of those coffees that makes you pause mid-sip and think, “Okay… they care about this.” The perfect warm-up for what turned into an outstanding meal.

Then came the clam linguine, and truly, it stole the show. The broth was flavorful and robust — bright with citrus, fragrant with herbs, and layered with that briny sweetness you can only get from fresh clams. Every forkful had that perfect harmony of pasta, aromatics, and seafood. The dish felt both elegant and comforting, like something crafted with intention rather than rushed out of a kitchen.

The presentation was beautiful as well — generous portions of clams nestled against silky linguine, topped with fresh herbs and a sunlit slice of lemon that added just the right lift. (My photos don’t lie — this bowl was as gorgeous as it was delicious!)

The service was warm and attentive without ever being intrusive, and the pacing of the meal made it easy to settle in and enjoy the afternoon.

If you’re in Poulsbo — whether you’re a local or just passing through — Dalla Baia is absolutely worth a stop. Come for the coffee, stay for the pasta, and leave already planning your next visit.

This food was absolutely delicious. We had an Americano coffee which
was also outstanding. The next time someone asks where I want to eat, this is my choice, no other will do. The food is the star.
I will be back. Wish I lived closer, I’d make it more often. I love most Italian food and this restaurant is tops in my opinion. Very fresh and tasty ingredients. Can’t wait to try more dishes. It was a great first impression tasting the garlic lemon butter dill sauce with penne and salmon. Fabulous. Thank you for making great food

Overall Rating – 8.17
Food – 7/10
– The cannelloni was very delicious, quite simple, just a pesto mixed with cream on top of a simple stuffed pasta. The broccolini on top was slightly cold but it was quite delicious and the serving felt a little small, there was only two cannelloni on the plate.
– The eggplant parmasan was disappointing. The polenta was mushy and clumpy and unseasoned. The eggplant was unseasoned and lost its crisp. The marinara was overly acidic and lacked flavor.
– The Verdura Arrostita pizza was quite delicious, the roasted garlic on top was the highlight. The crust was fine, as well as the other veggies on top.
– The winter salad was delicious, very simple but and clean and delicious!
– The coconut panna cotta with mango chutney was fantastic!
– The italian soda very good, although it could have benefited from some whipped cream or a garnish of sorts.
– The complimentary focaccia and oil was very delicious, the topping on the bread was fantastic!
‍ ‍➡️Accessibility – 9/10
– the restaurant is quite accessible physically, it is completely ground level with a ramp on the side walk. The accessible parking is a little far from the restaurant though sadly.
– Sensory wise, the music is calm and the lights are dim.
‍ Service – 10/10
– the service was fantastic, we got in one hour before closing and did not feel rushed or like we were not wanted in anyway. The waiter was very kind and helpful and made a great dessert recommendation.
️Ambiance – 9/10
– Good lighting, very pretty decor, nice music, great view.
Parking – 7/10
– There is not parking in front of the restaurant so it is a little inaccessible but not too bad.
Price – 7/10
– it is a bit pricey for the food, the ambiance is very nice but the food felt a little simple or not as worthy of the price, it wasn’t bad, just not as worthy of the price for the quality.

Good restaurant with a good view. we just had the basics, but the salads, bruschetta and soup were good, and the calamari got really high marks.

We were directed to Dalla Baia by another restaurant on the waterfront that is not “dog friendly” and we had an excellent experience. It was on a sunny Saturday afternoon and we asked for a patio table. We were seated within five minutes with our two pups who were very well behaved during our leisurely meal. Angela was our server and she was kind, fun and welcoming. The food we very good, the chowder was delicious and I am a self proclaimed chowder snob. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the “A” table on the patio.

Took the family to Dalla Baia for my birthday dinner this evening. We were seated immediately, service was attentive, appetizers came out quickly and our entrées came out together at the perfect time. 5 plates were gobbled up and we shared a dessert. All in all it was a great experience and was reasonable price for the quality of the food. They accommodated my families customizations (including gluten free pasta for my wife) without any hassle.

Today is our anniversary and I wanted to surprise my girl. I found this place online and saw they had pretty good reviews. The restaurant was nice, simple, and had a nice dim to it. Prices was decent and the menu had some good choices. Couldn’t pick what to eat because everything sounded good. I got the veal marsala and seafood chowder. My girlfriend got cannelloni. The sauce for my dish was a bit salty, so I put black pepper to dilute the flavor a bit. My girlfriend sauce you can tell the oil was separated. Over all the food was really good. Nothing was over cooked. We were still happy with the experience and we’re willing to try them again.

The calamari is absolutely amazing and we get it every time we come! We rotate through the pasta menu and have loved every single one. The wait staff are attentive but not overbearing and always give good recommendations.

This place is a cute little spot. There were some technical issues with both dishes that prevented a 5-star food rating. On the cannelloni, the sauce was broken so the plate was oil and odd textured cheese. Again, the taste was still good. We ordered the veal marsala, this dish was too salty and we had to add a bit of pepper to counteract that. For an appetizer, we got the seafood chowder and that was on point. The bread and oil dip were also amazing.
